Neutral Tan with Pop's of Pink.

Hello my friends.
What you doing today?
I'm counting down to the run of three birthdays starting with mine on the 15th.  My gran-daughters is the following day and I remember when she was born so clearly.  I'd made a mild hot curry for my birthday meal which my daughter had, bye the next evening she had mild back-ache which the midwife said was nothing!  Some two or so hours later my little princess arrived, at home in the bedroom - how many people can say they were born at home eh!  As you can imagine she has a list of presents she'd like, one in particular (we're not sure where she got it from) a 'ginger cat' - according to mum and dad she's definitely not getting that one!

With the weather still so changeable (one day last week we had sun, rain, hail, wind, thunder & lightning) my outfits can't really be confined to one style.  Jeans, have been my 'go to' style, with jumpers and boots, but I've also been sporting wide legs trousers and a nice dress here and there.
I've not worn these culottes this year which is such a shame because they are the perfect Spring piece.  I wore them plenty last year including paired with navy, looking floral with sunflowers and matched with my biscuit trench coat.

Esther and I were trying to think of somewhere different to take photos, we remembered taking some shots among the bluebells (when I checked scarily finding is was back in 2017 🤯)  So we went back there to take piccys - none to be found!!!  Yes must be very late this year due to the cold weather, to be fair we did find some ... do scroll down to see them.

I'd seen a friend on Instagram sharing this next colour combination biscuit and cerise pink.  What an interesting match.  The biscuit culottes were gifted from Bonmarche a while back.  They mix and match with loads of tops I've got (see links to them above) & have proved to be a popular fashion item in my wardrobe.
So what to you reckon on tan with pink? Yay or nay?

I'm always tempted by animal prints and this snake print blouse was no exception.  I found it in H & M last year and have worn it umpteen times since.  It looks good with casual jeans and classic wide legs,  but here I love it complementing my sassy culottes.  As I said earlier I wanted to try adding cerise into the mix - actually I love the feminine splash from the bag and mules.

First pop of pink were suede mules, I have to add that mules are popular this season.  I'd recommend investing in some this year they'll just keep giving and giving.  I've got my eye on these for my birthday, and they'll look super with today's outfit too!  😉

Next pink splash is from a small tote bag.  I love the unusual gold hoop handle.  The hot pink bag elevates the look and creates a much more exciting finish.  When I want to be noticed I add a bright bag and accessories rather than keeping it plain and safe!

Just before you go here's the only bluebells we found - so just had to get a piccy .... 😆

Much love and thanks to Esther Ruby for today's photos - we had fun and laughs as always (me trying to change in the car when cars kept parking near us!!!)

  1. I can't wait for our weather to pick up! And plants seem to be slow in my garden due to the bad weather, so I imagine it's the same everywhere. I like the pop of pink that you added to this look Jacqui xx
