Happy Bank Holiday May Day to you.
How are you all?
Can't quite believe we are actually in May 2021 - crazy eh!
April was a busy month for me, with 5 immediate family birthdays to celebrate. It was also full of anticipation for another easing of lock-down - come May 17th (with fingers crossed we'll be able to go into a restaurant & pub to eat and drink - hurrah!!!)
Haven't done much over the weekend, quiet Saturday and roast dinner yesterday and who knows what today will bring. If the weather is nice we may go out to eat, but will play that one by ear - who wants to sit and eat outside in the cold?
As it's the beginning of May I'd like to share what I got up to in April, do scroll down for all the outfits I wore.
Starting with this stylish look. Faux leather culottes in soft brown. It's a versatile look and I like how easy and relaxed it feels on. Comfortable & dressy.
I was lucky enough to share some pieces from Bonmarche last month and this was just one of the pretty outfits I chose. Animal print is always a popular choice and no different for me which is why I picked this dress and also the matching top featured further down. 😊 The midi dress has a pretty hem that's all swishy and moves about as I walk - it'll be good to dance in when my ballroom classes start again (I can't wait by the way)
Next I showed you another dress from Bonmarche - this one is a maxi and just perfect for beach holidays and being a tourist on holiday (when we can do that - heaven knows!)
I love the heavy drape of this fabric and also the bold print that is again a favourite of mine - leopard print.
I was pleased to feature a blogging friend on the blog last month. The delightful Suzy - The Grey Brunette let us all into some of her secrets and back-story surrounding her blog. It's an interesting read and I'd love to you pop back to it. X
Here's the matching animal print top I mentioned earlier. It has a nice fluted hem and cuff detail and would look just as eye catching tucked into jeans or faux leather trousers. I also will be wearing it with black palazzo trousers too. Do pop by to read all about it paired over my tan wide leg trousers.
The final gifted item from Bonmarche was this gorgeous mustard cable knit jumper. I knew it would look darling with so many pieces in my wardrobe, but the first and favourite was the navy and white skirt I bought from Tu clothing. Love yellow and navy together - what other pairings do you think would work?
Along with my four friends from Style not Age my next post featured a bright orange jumper and white jeans. I chose to wear long white boots over skinny jeans, felt good in this, but not always the best choice with the grand-kids .... 😅
The final post of April had me wearing mom jeans. You might know I tend to live in jeans when the weather is cold - usually with boots and uninspiring jumper. I lifted this blue number with a fancy scarf in shades of blue with small tassels. The jumper has dainty details - frills on the high neck and cuffs.
You can read how I came to have it over on my previous post. Enjoy the catch up my friends. X
Great to have you stop by today, hope you will take a few mins to check out my past month.
Do join me this month too, I've got a few new pieces I'd like you to see.
Esther Ruby took some of these photos for me - thanks love. X
Bye for now. XX
You've worn some fabulous things in April, Jacqui! My favourite is the orange top with the white jeans, because you really do look even more beautiful in bright colours!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the mention, lovely!
Hugs

You had such a stylish month on the blog! :) It's good restaurants will be opening for you again soon! I feel a bit bad, ours have been open since lockdown ended last year (June/July I think) and I haven't been - we just do takeaway as that's what I feel safer with. We've only had a few cases here and they all spread through restaurants so I'm wary, even though we don't have any at the moment (all returned travellers who are in hotel quarantine until they are cleared).
ReplyDeleteHope that your week is going well :)

I love the variety in your outfits. That what is I have been trying to do. Change it up between dresses, skirts and shorts.
