May Review.

Good morning everyone.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
How you all feeling?

Isn't the year flying by!  I can't believe it's June already, without a hint of a holiday or break away on the horizon.  Have you managed to escape somewhere interesting and exciting - do tell!
My season of birthday's has finally eased with only one birthday late next month.  I'm certainly all caked out now which doesn't help with losing weight - lol.

As it's the beginning of the month it's time for the May Review so in case you missed any you can catch them here in this concise post.

I've started a new monthly series called At Home With ..... did you see it?
If you would like to be featured please do let me know, I would love you to join in. X

So cast your mind back to the start of May.  The weather was typical for the UK and very changeable, so I was between wearing trousers and boots with coats to wearing dresses with trainers and pretty jackets.  My first look is my shacket, my opinion did a full 180 with this trend & now I love them!
This is from my local F & F and I think it smartens up jeans and these faux leather trousers perfectly.

Next I shared a pretty pop of pink with neutral tan.  It's a new combination to me, but I love that the  simplicity of neutral tan with the blast of colour work really well together.  These culottes have been a brilliant addition for me, I love wearing them as they are very flattering, I like to make my clothes work for me & have been having fun trying new colour mixes.  Do let me know what you'd pair with tan my friends, see when I wore navy with them here.

By the middle of May I was in the thick of birthdays, mine included.  I received some stunning presents including a super classy Moschino bag which I've not shown you yet - do watch out for it, it's gorgeous. I also won a giveaway on Instagram, I picked a casual lounge-wear set from Asquith London and was really chuffed with the midnight blue set that arrived.  I also showed a comfortable bra that was gifted from Maidenform.  Both pieces are easy to wear and are full of style. Catch the full post here.

A fashionable look of pleats with trainers followed the last post.  I love this trend and have been embracing trainers with dresses and skirts quite a lot recently, so much so when I put on shoes with them, it doesn't feel 'right'.  How do you feel about this trend?  The navy with floral's skirt was from M & S, but I found this one on Ebay.  Do click the link to see all the post my friends.

Another find in F & F last month was this tunic top in the always popular design of pink leopard pattern.  I teamed it with leggings and my black blazer, but there's all sorts of different looks that can be created for this fluted top.  Head over to the blog post for all the details of my casual look.

The final post of May was dedicated to the group from Style not Age.  I get together each month with four like minded friends to tackle a prompt set by one of us.  This month we looked to Hilda to guide us.  She gave us the title Inspiration from the Sea & Sky.  At first I found this challenge quite easy, but then I found the skirt I'd bought didn't look right, so I had to rummage the wardrobe for an alternative.  It worked out to be a fair outfit, but the skirt didn't really 'do it' for me, it might have to go!!  Do let me know what you think. x

Thanks to Esther for taking these photos - many thanks lovely lady.

  2. You have had some great outfits and posts over the month! :) And yes, I love the sneakers with everything trend! it makes me happy as I've been wearing them almost exclusively with my knee injury - I keep pushing it too far and aggravating it so I spend most my time in sneakers to give it support, haha! :) It's nice fashion has declared I can wear them with anything, as I do!

Thank you for joining the #WeekdayWear Link Up! Hope you are having a lovely weekend :)
