How's it going?
We've had some brilliant weather here in the UK recently, I hope you've been blessed with some warm rays.
I'm getting the garden into shape and today after ballet I'm off to the garden center to pick up some new flowers. I really enjoy being in the garden and would happily work outside than do any housework or cooking! As it was so hot yesterday we had a BBQ of burgers and sausages, we all agreed a basic menu like this is sometimes all you want!
I'm on day 10 of no alcohol and calorie counting - it's going well so far - so I'm hoping I can trim down again. I'm also back to my spin classes, I absolutely love working out and even though I find it bloomin' hard work I know I feel better for it. My dancing classes are open again, so I've been having fun getting back into the swing of them too.
Did you miss any of last month's posts? You can catch them all in one on Monday's post featuring my May Review.
Had my 2nd jab on Monday, all went well and we even managed to have a bite to eat in a local restaurant. The little Italian called Posillipo is in the center of Canterbury and was rather busy for a Monday night. We had a table inside and devoured our dishes washed down with a beer (zero for me) - no wine on a school night of course. 😆 I wonder if you saw my dishes on Instagram? Hope I didn't make you jealous? I had Scalopine Di Pollo with a side order of Spinaci - what more can I say it was delicious.
I've been wearing lots of dresses over the past few days, it's been too hot to wear much else. I wanted to share this pretty blouse with you today. I need to wear it with a pretty white skirt, but first I need to get a pretty white skirt - lol. X
I would say today's outfit might be a little out of season, but with our indecisive weather in the UK, this might be the perfect layered look for a cooler June day. 😏
As I said earlier I think this blouse would look perfect paired with a white, maybe pleated skirt. I need to find one asap as I reckon it'll be a real game-changer don't you? White goes with everything doesn't it, so I'm going to get looking straight away. Anyway back to the culottes. I've worn these a number of times over the past months, they've looked super with my chain blouse and also with my sunflower blouse.
I found this feminine blouse in my local Tu clothing store, liking it more and more with each visit I finally placed it in my trolley and it came home with me. It has super sleeves that finish just below the elbow which have an easy to wear elastic finish. With a cute little collar and buttons running down the front I was happy to find this paired well with my dark brown culottes as I've shown here, but looked just as nice with white jeans too.
It could also double as a lightweight jacket over a white dress - just add a pop of yellow accessories to really bring out the dainty yellow flower. 💛

Away From The Blue
Jacqui, this is a really great outfit. I love that white blouse! It went from super cold and rainy here to very hot and humid really quickly, so many of my outfits lately seem very out of season, too. You never know how to dress these days...is it summer, is it fall? In any event, this outfit is very chic and sophisticated for any season really!

Good work with cutting out alcohol and watching your calories. Looks like you are doing what you need to trim down. I did 4 days of running this week, short runs but I have been eating ice cream. Making me warm in that outfit, lol but very pretty!
