How you all doing?
Not much went on over the weekend, just been watching Euro 2020, but I'm not even going to mention the England - Scotland match, that's better left un-said! (Nil - Nil) in case you didn't know!!!
If you follow me on IG you may have seen I was lucky enough to go to the local Nicholson's Pub* on Thursday. I was gifted an experience with them to watch the footy at The Buttermarket, so hubby and I had a lovely evening enjoying some drinks and a nice meal watching it. Denmark were playing Belgium & the score of 1 all proved exciting to watch, such a shame that the next day our team couldn't emulate that thrilling game!
With changeable weather again, I've been between outfits, the cooler dresses have been replaced with jeans, tee shirts and cardi's, I even wore a jacket last Friday when it was tipping it down! I managed to cut both front and back lawns before the rain set in, so that may be kept at bay for a bit. I'm sure as soon as the sun's out, it'll need doing again!
This week I'll be getting prepared for Friday. It's race day for my son when two years of preparation finally comes to fruition. You can read about his first attempt here and also my older son's race day here too.
This year we are team white, not the best colour to be wearing with the grand-kids around - I'll try and take photos earlier rather than later. Ha ha.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
I've been wearing sandals a lot recently, even on Friday when it was tipping it down I wore flip flops - just about managed to keep my feet dry when I went out between the showers.
I needed a pair of shoes to fill in the gap in my shoe wardrobe, so you can imagine I was delighted to receive these from Lotus Shoes on Saturday!
Like everyone I've been slopping around in flat trainers and slippers over lock-down, so I've certainly found wearing heels recently has been quite alien. My feet really appreciated these loafers that Lotus Shoes kindly sent me, I'm very impressed at how comfortable they are!
I've never owned a pair of loafers and didn't know if they would be my kind of thing, well I didn't have to worry for long because as soon as I put them on I found they were perfect! The soft pale blue patent has a faux buckle and a thick sturdy white sole that compliments the sea blue beautifully.
At first I thought they would be too small (I wear a 6.5) but once on they started to give a little, so the 6 suited me with ease.
The Chiara loafer* is available in two other colours - pink patent & silver. Both are stylish for summer and will enhance all your summery clothes with style and eye-catching charm. Comes in a range of sizes from 3 - 8 and I can confirm they fit true to size.
It's funny as I'd decided on this outfit before the shoes arrived! I picked jeans because of the wet, dreary and cold weather. These 3/4 flared & cropped jeans have to be my favourites at the moment, I like the flattering way they balance my figure. I frayed them myself and love the different shades of denim it gives to the hem. I have these in white too, and everything goes with white doesn't it - I might even wear them on Friday when I will be donning white for the race, as previously stated. 🤍
This long duster is a nice addition and certainly matches the flowers on my H & M tee shirt and don't you think the loafers look at right at home with the whole outfit? I don't wear the cardigan that often, but adore when I paired it with white jeans and a slinky white top.
Thanks so much for stopping by today - so love having your company and support.
Have a super week and I'll see you on Thursday for the #Chicandstylish #LINKUP.
Thanks to Sophie for taking these photos for me.
Cheerio for now. X
Good luck to your son on race day!! 2 years prep is no joke, I'm sure. That duster is such a pretty color and I love the breathable material!! I have a couple pairs of 3/4 cropped jeans and I've been wearing them a lot lately, too!
