How are you all doing?
I finally managed to cut the grass last Friday and I also took advantage of the window of pleasant weather on Saturday morning and potted my plants! They all look so pretty and have started to grow already, although everything seems to be late this year with many of my original plants not even in bud! I've been using a plant feed for the first time, so fingers crossed they bloom into beauties soon. Come on sunshine we need a lot more of your company!
Saturday afternoon we popped to a friends for an open air party in a field. I was very nervous of the rain on Saturday, but we were blessed with a cloudy but warm event. That evening we watched the England - Ukraine football match at my daughters. Seems times have changed as hubby watched the whole match and we got four goals - maybe I'll let him watch the next match on Wednesday!
So shall we get cracking on the ...
June Review.
Early in the month although warm I was sharing a Spring style with cream culottes, pale blue chiffon blouse and my jean jacket. I wore boots with it too, but decided by switching boots for sandals and leaving out the jacket I could wear it on a cooler Summer day. Hop back to check out the full post here.
I was enjoying the culotte vibe in early June & was happy to style my chocolate faux leather version again. These I wore with layers and love the pretty sheer blouse I teamed with a cami top and a tan blazer - do pop back to the full post here. x
What would you wear to a Summer BBQ? I picked this pretty summer dress that was cool to wear, but great to be seen in - love the little shoe-string straps which were perfect in the humid temperatures.
My dress is ages old, but still looks as good as new.
We took at look at Laurie from Vanity and Me next, you can find out all about her and all her secrets to blogging here - At Home With ....
Are you a fan of the loafer style shoe? You can see my choice from Lotus Shoes here - I'm so pleased with how comfortable they are and how well they look with my duster and floral top.
Taster time. I was lucky enough to have a night stay on a cruise boat The Spirit of Discovery for the Saga shakedown. We we testing the staff and on-board facilities for the night and I have to say came home quite tempted to try an actual cruise - watch this space my friends.
Finally for my month of June the group of ladies from Style not Age shared their Picnic Attire - I knew what dress I would chose, but hadn't accounted for the naff weather. No actual picnic for me, but this is honestly what I would wear - a buffet dress and flat sandals, complete with basket bag and straw hat!
