I'm actually off to do Jury service at my local courts. Waited 57 years for this and now I'm not sure I want to do it! Wish me luck, I'm going to need it!
Over the weekend it's been quite a busy time. Saturday hubby and I popped to the local shops to find him a shirt, we have two christenings this month so he's all set now. Later Saturday afternoon we got ready to go out with friends for dinner. You may recall I ventured to Broadstairs with the same girl friends but this time we went out with the boys. We had a super evening and, as always the food was excellent. I'm a boring lady creature of habit because I ordered my usual - Scaloppine de Pollo that came with a side of saute potatoes and spinach. No room for dessert and again rather boring finished with a cup of tea! (To be fair that was after a few glasses of fizz)!
Sunday was the first of two christenings. It was my nieces' daughter who was in the limelight and she a pretty little princess who lights up the room. All the family were there again, so it was nice to see them all in happy & relaxed surroundings. I found a cute little dress in my local M & Co (I'll share that another day).
Beginning of the month calls for a review, so I'm pleased to share my August Review with you today.
Having seen lots of ladies wearing white dresses, I thought they all looked so cool so decided to buy one. This came from F & F in my local supermarket and was happy to find I needed a smaller size. It has so much potential for Autumn too as it can be paired with loads of other colours and tones.
Here I've opted for good old black and white!
I was lucky enough to be gifted a few items from Bonmarche last month and had fun styling this shirt dress. Another black and white outfit but I also added a pop of red into the mix by way of a belt. I also fancy pink too, so do watch out for that. It also works well as a long jacket and you can see my styling of it on IG here. 🖤🤍👄
A day out in London was on the cards next. Whilst my hubby and son-in-law watched football my daughter and I had a few hours in the big city shopping, wandering, chatting and eating. We met up with them and had a fantastic meal in one of my favourite restaurants - Burger & Lobster. You can see what I ate here. It was a casual dress sort of day so white jeans and this lovely Bonmarche top looked super.
My coffee and cream outfit was one I loved wearing. I love wearing this lace beauty and as I bought it in L'Escala it always reminds me of actually being there and as I've not been there a while it's even more special. Do click back to read the funny story of what happened when I put it on!!
Finally my month ended with Statement Sleeves for the Style Not Age collective. I wore an old top that has been around for ages. I went for a transitional look by pairing it with culottes. You can see all the details of not only my outfit by my four friends as well.
We will be styling something different this month, so I hope you'll join us all on 27th September.
Good to have you here today, many thanks. I might not get back to your blogs this week with doing my Jury service but will endeavor to stop by soon.
Have a super week.
Bye for now. X
Loving all of these fabulous looks. The white dress is so great and the moto gives it a fun edgy vibe too!
