Midaxi dress - Have you heard of It?

Hiya my gorgeous friends.
How's it going for you today?

Another christening for me on Sunday, this is the outfit I wore.  It's a midaxi style.  What's a midaxi I hear you say?  Well it's a hemline of a dress or skirt that's in between the midi and maxi style.  It sits just above the ankle and below the mid-calf.  It's a seasonless and versatile fashion that you can wear with boots for Winter or sandals in the Summer.

When shopping in London the other week, my daughter and I nipped into TK Maxx to avoid the rain and this is what I came out with.

I'm still on jury service for another week, so might still be a tad thin on the ground for visiting, commenting and liking your blogs.  I'll be back to normal service next week my friends.

I love to have a browse in TK Maxx and enjoy when I get to visit other stores.  They always seem to have alternative styles, and I usually find something a little different.  This visit was no exception and I found two from the label Kate & Lily and they both looked good.  I decided to only buy one which I know was a bit silly as the other was very similar but quite different - so I'm sure I'd find another occasion to wear it ... I might just add it to my basket and click the button! 😉

Dark navy with floral patterns are perfect for Autumn so this will be a good one to have in my collection.  It has long sleeves and the longer length will fair well with layers under or over it & with a choice of boots or shoes depending on what season we're in or what the weather has to offer.
I wore navy heels to complete my look, I got these from Kurt Geiger and I've certainly got my monies worth with them, they've finished off many a dressy look over the past year or so and really do need replacing.

The chiffon dress has a half slip attached underneath, but I didn't like the fact you could see through the shirt style top and through the bottom of the skirt so wore a full slip.  It has a comfortable elastic waist to give a good silhouette and the longer length is so classic and flattering.  It has a deep gypsy frill that moves about beautifully due to the drape of the fabric and the amount of material used.  It'll be another nice dress to dance in too!

Here's the pretty frill detail I was cooing about, looks nice don't you think?  I'm a big fan of this style and will be looking to stock up on this style for the winter ... maybe in a warmer fabric too.

Marshmallow mauve flowers ... green leaves, a long swishy skirt, bell sleeves & chiffon ...  this dress is one of my favourites of the season.

Many thanks for stopping by today, much appreciate your support.
Bye for now. X
