Neutral Trench, Animal Print Blouse - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning everyone.
Thanks for joining me today.
I can't believe it's the first day of October tomorrow and just like that Autumn has arrived.  It's like a big switch has been clicked on ... I've been cold for the last two days!

I've started a Keto diet again, since putting on the two stone I lost I've decided now is the time.  I'm only on day 4, but it seems to be going well so far. 👍

So with changed weather I've been wearing jeans more recently.  I need to get some warmer dresses and maybe a couple more vests and jumpers so I can layer up in order to still wear the dresses I've got.
Today I'm sharing a look that's pretty normal for me, jeans, shirt and jacket ... my lightweight trench coat.

Are you in your warmer clothes yet, come to think of it have you put your heating on?  I'm most certainly dressed in Autumn appropriate attire and am very tempted to put the heating on today.
I'm in need of more jeans as mine are not only too small, but lots of them are skinny style.  At the moment I'm thinking I'll move away from them onto something a little looser, but I might change my mind ... women's prerogative and all that .. lol.

I can't get enough animal prints, I'm never bored of wearing it.  You can see I wore a pretty animal print blouse on Monday and again I'm featuring another here today - I do hope you don't get bored of it!

I popped into Canterbury with my daughter yesterday, she wanted to buy a particular wine so we took advantage of the sunshine and took these shots.  She did them really well, so may get the job again! 😉
The jeans are from New Look a few years ago, I quite like the style but did a bit of DIY on them to fray the hems.  I'm on the lookout for some more and have a couple in my M & S basket that look pretty cool ... I'll keep you informed what I get.

Wearing a blouse with the jeans, for me, smartens the look beautifully.  Also wearing heels the vibe is taken to the next level but keeps it wearable for everyday jobs.  I've always loved wearing mules and was glad when they came into the limelight earlier this year.  I had a pair when I was about 16 and wore them to death - fortunately I have more pairs in my collection so doubt that will ever happen again! Ha ha.
I'm seriously thinking about adding these to my shoe cupboard!

The weather was really chilly for our trip, the wind was quite biting - fortunately the jacket kept me warm and was a nice addition for my neutral look.  This one if from Oasis a while ago.  It's not lined which makes it perfect for the inconsistent weather that accompanies Autumn, however It's not rain proof either which is a bit of a problem here in the UK, I have to pick and choose when I wear it!  It's a good style  and great length for me.  Pockets either side and a big wide belt that can be tied at the front to fasten it.

I completed the look with a cream belt that has a darling pearl buckle.
I also used this big leather bag too.  It's been standing in the wardrobe for ages and I felt it needed an airing so It came with me.  I'd forgotten just how much I liked using it.  It's big enough to just chuck everything in & it's a style I think I'll be updating soon .... very soon!

  1. Just starting to think about the wardrobe changeover. I don't turn my heating on until absolutely necessary! I'm lucky that Dee doesn't mind. I like the trench. A wardrobe essential, especially at this time of year xx

  5. This is such a great early fall outfit, Jacqui. A trench coat is the perfect topper for his time of year, too. It has gotten quite cold here the past two weeks. Fall is definitely here!

  6. A trench coat is so stylish. I do not think I have ever owned one which is surprising as I love all jackets and coats! It is still getting hot during the day here so this look is something I would wear: take the outer layer off as soon as it warms up. I have mostly put away my sandals now but it is mostly still too warm except for one or 2 of my booties.

  7. What a fabulous fall look. I was on Keto for a long time and it worked fairly well for me, then "C" hit and all the specialized ingredients to be on Keto became harder to get so I had to go off. So of course, every pound I lost came back on...urgh! I'm not sure if I can start all over again. Anyway, my post that I linked is mostly about my new grand baby, but we got all dressed up in our fall fashion and took some pictures!
