Hope you are well.
I've had a super weekend away with my mum and sister, we went to Rye in Sussex (you may have seen my stories). We travelled down on Friday, stopping in the town before heading to the hotel after having lunch and a couple of drinks in the pub nearby. We also had a look in the only supermarket Rye has - Jempson's (opposit the station) which had an amazing array of cakes, biscuits, cheese, wine and just about everything you could want! I left with a nice bottle of fizz - how on earth did that happen?
The River Haven Hotel was our home for a couple of days, and it served us well having a nice little bar, lovely food, really pleasant and helpful staff and excellent rooms. I'd thoroughly recommend staying there!
We ate at a local Italian on Friday evening ... dining on chicken with chips and bang went the Keto diet on that day! We had a nightcap in the hotel and returned to our rooms for what turned out a difficult sleep for me - I don't often sleep without my hubby and really missed him.
On Saturday we had a day checking out the town, having a nice scone with cream, jam and a delicious hot coffee. We decided, after a busy day in the town. we would eat at the hotel. Another super meal for the three of us, and also a cheeky brandy before bed ... yes a better nights sleep for me!
Returning home on Sunday we arrived upon a chicken roast dinner cooked by some of the family and my hubby, what a nice welcome home that was. We've decided to look further afield next time and would appreciate any positive recommendations from you lovely lot. x
Do you wear makeup?
Well I hold my hands up to wearing makeup most days. I just don't feel dressed without it, and am always watching YouTube for tips and tricks to get my cosmetics routine just right. With that being said I don't wear makeup ALL the time, when I'm at the gym I don't wear it, however I certainly don't like the look - I often have people don't recognize me when I'm dressed up and not in gym attire! How rude ... lol!
I've always loved wearing makeup and can definitely confirm to wearing more now that when I was in my teens and early 20's, and since I started my skincare routine last year have been interested to find new, more age appropriate products for my particular skin. So you can imagine I was delighted to have been approached by the team at Forever You to sample some of their products.
This is a sponsored post, however these are all my own honest comments.
I'm excited to tell you about Forever You beauty products and feel it's a big step in the direction of having suitable makeup for a mature skin. I'd like to share, from the source, what they say.
With age it becomes more and more challenging to find products we can trust to bring out the natural beauty of our skin. When it comes to skincare and beauty there are hundreds of products to choose from. Our small team of beauty experts noticed that all the products on the market for older women celebrate anti-aging properties and promise life-changing results ... But why do we have to choose something that promises to change the way we look? With the rapid pace of shifting beauty standards it's hard to keep up with what's new and more importantly what's "appropriate" for our age.Forever You Beauty is helping women all over the UK regain sight of what has timeless meaning and value: being comfortable in your own skin, embracing the unique glow of your own complexion. Our products focus on the simplicity and easy steps to bring out your natural beauty, no matter the age of your skin. The time to celebrate every second and every decade of your skin is now.
I've often thought there was something missing in the makeup front, my usual creams and powders just weren't cutting the mustard for my aging skin. The powders seemed to enhance the thin lines that have magically appeared on my face and I've felt a different product was needed.
As soon as I tried Forever You blush tint I was hooked. I mean who wouldn't be knowing it can be used not only on the cheeks, but also lips and eyes get in on the act too! The creamy texture just glides on and with a smooth of the fingers tips adds an instant youthful glow to the skin which can be highlighter with the equally subtle glow stick. This I applied just above my cheeks, under my eyebrows, on the tip of my nose and slicked a dot over my cupids brow.
Along with the tint and glow stick there's also a moisture stick included in the Natural Glow Trio - this I used prior to my foundation and I simply ran it over my face and gently smoothed it in using circular motions with my fingers. It felt divine and instantly improved my appearance - giving me a natural radiance that I hadn't seen before.
I've had some lovely comments about my complexion since using my new 'Trio' and feel my makeup conversion has been a change for the good!
Step One - Moisturise.
Step Two - Tint.
Step Three - Highlight.
Forever You would love you to leave a review when using their product, and for that they would like to offer a 50% discount code to use on your first order. Please use the code Reviews50 at the checkout.
There's also Free P & P for this Vegan and Cruelty Free TRIO product which is also very appealing.

You have such beautiful skin, Jacqui! I have recently started noticing that the foundation I have used forever is now not so great for my skin. I am needing to find something better for my dry aging skin. Thanks for sharing this Forever You brand!

DeleteLove the bright top and jacket together! I don't wear makeup regularly at all - I used to wear it to the office but we go in so rarely now... BB cream some days but I'm trying to go bare skinned more often, especially as we still have to wear masks indoors here.

DeleteI rarely wear any makeup (maybe once or twice a year) but I always enjoy seeing others routine. I like it when it is natural and just enhances your natural features like you have done.
