Hope you're all doing well.
Can you believe it's nearly December! I still haven't finished my Christmas shopping and even though I vowed to have my shopping finished by now ... I haven't!!!! I'm on holiday now and have weekend away in Scotland as soon as I return so once I'm back from my galavanting I'll have to get my bum into gear and get my shopping done!
So it's time for me and my friends from Style not Age to share our looks for the prompt ...
Festive Finery.
My dress has been around for ages, I bought it for a Christmas party absolutely ages ago and have worn it a fair few times, well when it fitted me really. It's only a F & F fitted dress in stunning black velour. You can see it's stretchy fabric which not only looks good but feels good too - always a winner around Christmas time for parties and big dinners out.
It has three quarter sleeves, fits just on the knee and has a split up the back. However what I was excited about was the flattering ruched effect across the tummy area. I love this kind of style .. it's perfect to camoflage the waist section and works quite well I think!
I wanted to add a bit of sparkle, so I chose this interesting necklace that's covered in beads, chain and shiny spheres. Against the black background it looks very glamorous and quite eye-catching.
Want to see what everyone else has styled? Let's get straight to it shall we?
I'm excited to share what Anna, Emma, Hilda and prompt setter Gail has in store for us with the party favourites.
First up take a look at what Emma has conjured up. You can see all the details over on her blog Style Splash.
Next it's Anna's turn. Like my other friends Anna always impresses me with her well thought out and put together looks & you can find out more on her blog Anna's Island Style.
Hilda has opted for this stunning green jacket with black jeans and fancy boots. To see more of her gorgeous outfit do stop by the blog Over the Hilda.
Finally Gail has led us well with her party wear, please do head over to Is This Mutton for all the backstory of her striking outfit.
Shop My Look!
I'm back next week and I'm sure I'll have re-charged my batteries and be raring to go!
Bye for now.
What a lovely little black dress on you! The velour is beautiful and I really like the statement necklace and red coat with it, they are such good accessories! Enjoy your upcoming trip too! I finished all my Christmas shopping in the black Friday sales thankfully! Now I just have to wrap it all, eek!
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a good week :) Yet another rainy spring day here!

DeleteI always love to see the holiday looks as I don't have occasion to dress up much except for church. I am considering velvet leggings to pair with some tops this year.
