October Review.

Hi there,
How are you on doing on the 1st day of November?
I'm shocked how fast this has come around, and only yesterday was thinking I've not spent much time in the garden over the Summer Months!  Most probably because of the lack of nice weather we were 'blessed' with over the past months.  Fingers crossed next year will be better, but that's such a long time to wait!
I do like the different seasons we experience in the UK, colder days in November mean coming in from the cold to a nice warm house, hearty stews and casseroles, cosy weekends watching a good film (or football) depending on who's got the TV remote 🤣 and preparations for Christmas.  I've actually started mine, and am happy to announce I've got about 3!!!  Have you got any further than me?

I've been celebrating a couple of birthdays over the past few days, my mum had nearly all the family up to her's for pizza, cake and a little drink on Thursday.  Another super evening spent with family - was nice to see all the kids playing together, although they did get a tad loud for Mum at times!!
Saturday night we shared a lovely evening having a take away Thai from a local venue.  This was for my daughters birthday.  She's only got 2 weeks until her baby arrives and she was worried he/she might make an appearance on her special day ... she didn't want to share that ... lol.  Happy to say baby is still well and truly staying in place ... nice, cosy, warm & safe.

As it's the first on November, it's time to share what I've been wearing over the past month for my ....

October Review.

Way back at the beginning of October I found this gorgeous Dior dupe in H & M, I just couldn't resist this fabulous bag.  The dog-tooth pattern is so striking and I've had lots of comments about it.  Do pop back to read about the outfit I created around it.

After a trip to the local outlet hubby managed to capture these photos on the way home.  Would you believe we were just on the side of a dual carriageway?  I'd seen a lady on IG wearing a similar leopard, mustard and black outfit and wanted to copy it, think it turned out quite well - even if I do say so myself!

I was styling these striking cerise pink trousers next, I've been smitten since finding them in M & S.  There's so much potential for these wide leg beauties, so this tan concoction is the first of many mixes I'll be sharing with you.

Mid October I was wearing this stunning dress with my delicious cream knee high boots for my daughter's baby shower.  I got some fabulous comments, and boy were they good for the ego!  It's nice to give positive comments & I do try spreading happiness when I meet my friends and family. It's so nice to get a nice remark isn't it!  Catch all the details of my burnt orange dress and neutral accessories.

Another installment of my At Home With ..... series, I was pleased so share an insight into another blogging friend ... Michelle - Fifty & Fab this month.  It's so nice to hear more about our blogging peers.  Catch all the details about her 'drainpipes' here.

A welcomed addition to the blog next.  Me and the ladies from the Style not Age collective were sharing our Cosy Autumn Coats with you.  I styled this comfortable and easy to wear padded coat for the challenge.  I'd needed a new one this season and as I was unable to find my first choice in Next I came home with this fashionable black padded version.  So warm, I'm almost wishing the bad weather arrive!!!🤯

Finally for the month of October, I've been pleased to share some make up with you.  Not something I tend to put on the blog very much ... as I'm not really good at putting it on!  However I love to wear it, so when I was asked to review Forever You beauty trio kit, which is aimed at older skin, I jumped at the chance.  I was pleased with the outcome and would love you to hop over and let me know what you think!  Certainly turned my head. X

  2. Sounds like you've had a lot of fun and some great outfits! Happy birthday to your daughter :)
I'm finding that I'm at my usual point in Christmas shopping for November - have most of the presents but still a few people are proving difficult to buy for! I need to get around with ordering or sending some of the presents going to my friends in other states soon too as our post is a little slow here in Australia at the moment!

Thanks for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope that you are having a good weekend :)
