Hope your January is going well and living up to your expectations.
Covid is well and truly rumbling around the friendship bubble, I'm definitely thinking of isolating before my forthcoming holiday to Sestriere at the end of the month. Random people I know are testing positive and it's a bit too close for comfort, especially since my son had it over Christmas - I'd hate to miss out on skiing this year!
Back to the gym this week with three classes including a couple of sessions in the gym. I've been for a review and aim to get into a routine before or after my classes, just to increase my exercising and tone up (one of my New Year's Resolutions). I have to admit to aching in places I've not ached in for a long time, but as they say "No pain, no gain". Are you a fan of going to the gym? Do share what you prefer to do. X
Last weekend I managed to get together with some good friends for a takeaway, we also exchanged 'Secret Santa' presents. We've done this for a few years. We've set a limit of £10 and basically can buy anything that's suitable for the chosen person. Either something that's helpful or funny. There's been funny socks, face masks, mugs and books to name a few. There's also been a couple of risque, that I won't mention! 😆
See what my TWO presents were!
Yes, due to some confusion I came home with two gifts!
I've seen many bloggers and grammers share silk pillowcases, and have heard how they are so good for your hair and face ... and I wanted to try one out, so how lucky this is what I got.
You can feel the difference instantly, it's soft and smooth to feel and the hypoallergenic pillowcase help nourish both skin and hair.
Silk also helps to regulate body temperatures, this I'm excited to see work, as I'm either boiling hot or freezing cold - how lucky ladies of a certain age are!!!!
My thoughtful gift came at just the right time as I've just received a Sleepeasy pillow, what a brilliant way to try them both out.
Sleeping has become a whole lot easier with these two additions, so impressed with the feel and support the pillow gives. Here's to a great night's sleep. 😴
Now as for my second Secret Santa gift, have you spotted the Mummabstylish logo? I also got this super smooth and very glamorous dressing gown, complete with my name on the back. Similar to my pillowcase it's a silky fabric that's going to be perfect for getting ready at my mirror when a hot bulky robe gets in the way. It'll also be a brilliant addition on holiday. (Oh holiday's can't wait for the Summer). Nice to lounge in whilst getting ready in the evening too!

ReplyDeleteWhat lovely gifts, I'm a big fan of silk pillowcases too Jacqui. I'm not the best sleeper, my temperature constantly goes up and down and anything that helps to soothe the process.

The gown seems like being a great gift you really enjoy. Keeping away from the crowds sounds like a prudent thing. I just ended my self-isolation and also trying to get back to the gym and my regular runs. Stay safe :)

What a lovely gifts especially that gown! Like to know the risque ones, lol. I love to go to the gym, been there this morning!
ReplyDeleteI canceled my gym membership a little over a year ago as I really prefer exercising outdoors. Running club once a week and then the rest of the days I try to walk or hike. I need to get back to using my rebounder and my weigthts though. I should try some silk pillowcases for my son!

Thanks for the party. I started exercising again too and was very sore.
ReplyDeleteOh the personalised robe is so sweet! :)
ReplyDeleteSince we opened the Queensland borders to allow people in without quarantining there have been so many cases here - we have been really careful to avoid crowds and try stay outdoors as much as possible. Works for the kids as they get to enjoy all the playgrounds we usually would for school holidays! :)
Thanks for the link up!
Hope that your week is going well :)
Away From The Blue
Oh, I know! Everyone around me is catching Covid here, too. I am surprised my kids haven't brought it home from school yet, I've been holding my breath on that one. I just got a silk pillow in one of my advent calendars and I gave it to my teen daughter, because it was pink and didn't go with my bedding. I need to get myself a white one! Hee, hee! It sounds lovely!

Thanks for the feature - very honoured! I love silk pillow cases - wouldn't be without them! XX
ReplyDeleteAwesome gifts, Jacqui! I love the dressing gown! I have heard great things about silk pillow cases, too. But I sweat so much now with menopausal night sweats that I prefer my cotton blend cases!

Hi Jacqui! What lovely gifts! One of these days I will try the silk pillowcases! Love your logo on the garment too. I am going to the gym and want to do water aerobics, weight machines and the treadmill. I also have a home gym, so I like to alternate to keep it fun.
