Salamander Shirt in Pretty Candy Stripe Pink & White - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hiya everyone, how are you?

I'm definitely down in the dumps after getting back from Skiing, I almost need another holiday to get over it.  I'm working my way through the washing pile and surprisingly did see the bottom for a brief moment yesterday!  I'm not sure whether to put all my gear away just in case we manage a sneaky break away for a weekend in the snow before the season finishes.

I've not been shopping either, which also puts me in a sad mood - but it's a bit early for Spring pieces to arrive and I'm waiting for them to appear before I get shopping. New clothes always make me happy, figuring how to style them, when they will make an appearance & what occasion will I be able to show them off.
So you can imagine how thrilled I was to receive some super beautiful shirts from Salamander Shirts*, and I'm impressed with the quality and styles I got.  This is one of my favourites.  Obviously I chose pink - candy pink & white stripes to be exact and will look good with smart trousers as well as jeans like I'm showing you today.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

My Grenouille shirt is a feminine pink and white candy stripe made from seersucker fabric that's soft and smooth to the skin.  It has a sturdy collar and matching pink buttons down the front. The classic style really will flatter any figure and the sizes are true to form - I wear a medium and it fits perfectly.
They have a helpful sizing guide on the website, so you'll be able to find your exact size there.

I opted for my cropped wide leg jeans that looks great with boots under them.  These are from Mango, but I did have to do a little DIY to make them shorter and fray the hen to keep them on trend.  I've finally invested in a new pair of sharp scissors, what an improvement they've made - why did I wait so long!

Layers are still very much deal of the day, with the weather so up and down at the moment.  One day it's chilly the next nice sunshine with milder temperatures.  Layering up is key to keeping warm when it's like this.  My Christmas-present-to-myself - my pink vest compliments the look with effortless ease.
I popped my long line jacket over the top and felt good in this one.  I'm loving the vest look and add mine whenever I can.  I have one in black, one in cream and also have a beige cable knit version - is this a style you like to wear?

Final accents by way of my cream ankle boots and padded bag.
Today's weather made me feel Spring like as does this outfit - I can't wait to wear this again.

As it was nice and sunny I wore my new sunglasses. Goodlookers* have a big selection of sunnies and reading glasses, along with blue light glasses, which have a filter included that filtrates 40% of harmful rays emitted from smartphones, tablets and pc's  - giving the wearer a comfortable experience when using them.  Do stop over to see what they offer, the prices are very competitive and the choices are vast!

  3. Such a cute outfit, Jacqui! I love this candy cotton pink color on you! And your sweater vest is really pretty, too. I know that feeling of needing a vacation after a vacation. I am getting ready to head to North Carolina in less than 2 weeks...it is so much warmer there and I will have a full week solo and kid-freeeeeeeee!
