Vegamour Vegan Hair Products - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Morning all.
Hope this week is going well for you.
I'm still on the slopes and hope to have many stories to share with you, do pop by my Instagram stories to see what I'm getting up to!

When I was a little girl I used to hair very curly hair!  My hair looked like Shirley Temple, those of a certain age will know the rhyme ... "I'm Shirley Temple the girl with curly hair". I often wonder what my hair would be like now had the following story not happened!
You see my sister did a very naughty thing to me when we were kids ... she was envious of my natural curls and wanted some of her own.  Her's was very straight so do you know what she did?  She cut mine off near the root and tried to pin the curls onto her own hair.  My mum was distraught when she saw me!  Feeling bad because she'd left her dressmaking scissors out.
Well the only thing she could do was to take me to the hairdressers for them to salvage it, but you 'can't make a satin purse out of a pigs ear' can you! 🤣
So since that fated day back in the 70's my hair has grown dead straight, It won't hold any sort of curl at all.  As we all want what we haven't got don't we and I've always wanted long curly hair.  Having said that I've never wanted any other colour hair, I've always loved the fact that I have dark brown hair, no it's not black it's dark brown.  I did dye it black once and it was the worse thing I've ever done to my hair.  It's often a talking point with my now hairdresser, he reminds me of my blue scalp ... that's when I needed the following product that I've been kindly gifted by Vegamour Vegan Hair Products.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I've always been blessed with dark shiny hair and don't have to work too hard to keep it in good condition.  I was recently asked to review some products from Vegamour, and I was excited to see just how well they worked.
Vegamour products range from hair shampoo and conditioner to supplements & also offer lash and brow serums.
I've been using the shampoo and conditioner, along with taking the supplements and have used the detox scalp serum too. My hair has been even smoother since using the creams & serum.  I have also noticed my hair feels softer but thicker too.  It's been easier to style and overall just feels in better condition.

Vegamour offer high performance hair products without the use of harmful toxins and undesirable side effects.  We combine the super powers of science and nature and made it happen. All products are Clinically Tested, Cruelty free, Hormone Free and also vegan friendly.

Supplements that I've been taking are GRO Biotin Gummies for my hair.
Quoting again from Vegamour.

GRO Biotin Gummies for Hair feature a proprietary combination of vitamins and minerals that help beautify strands, nourish the scalp and support healthy looking hair **These delicious vegan biotin hair gummies contain biotin and folic acid as well as vitamins B-5, 6 and 12 to help support your body's production of keratin and collagen. ** Vitamins A, C and E work to neutralize follicle-damaging free radicals while zinc helps to promote and maintain scalp health** Pop one strawberry flavoured biotin gummy vitamin a day for fuller-looking, luxurious hair that shines and radiates.

I've also been using the GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum, and will share what Vegamour have to say about it.

The secret to healthy hair is a healthy scapl and GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum is a fully comprehensive approach to scalp health that incorporates the use of proprietary phyto-acties, vegan proteins & minerals designed to work in tandem for optimal scalp and hair wellness.  Formulated with a proprietary vegan silk protein that gently removes persistent scalp buildup & actively helps to soothe scalp damage while providing a semi-permeable barrier, GRO Scalp Detosifying Serum locks in moisture and protects the scalp from harmful environmental pollutants.  Zinc PCA works to absorb excess oils while reducing scalp irritation & supporting the skins's natural moisturizing factor.  Epilobium Angustifolium (Willowherb) Extract safely reduces the appearance of adherent and non-adherent flakes while creating a healthy scalp microbiome.  Wild-harvested boabab & murula oils provide additional antioxidant support in the form of Omega 6 & 9 fatty acids which further moisturize, protect and balance.

Up to 58% reduction in 15 days.

Let's talk a little about the shampoo and conditioner.  Both in generous sized bottles and I squeezed a suitable amount out creating a foam to lather into my hair, it felt slightly oily to the touch, but seemed to wash well. I only wash once as I wash my hair roughly every three days and find my hair gets a bit fly-away if I do it more often.  I used the conditioner which felt lovely to use.  I applied to the ends and left it on for a couple of minutes - to work deep into the hair.  Combing it through before towel drying and then styling with my Ice Hair Dryer  I was pleasantly impressed with the look and feel of my hair when finished, and even though I wasn't fond of the smell of the products, once dried it was a different story, I love the smell of my hair.
I'm looking forward to seeing more improvement with my hair as I continue to use Vegamour products.
I hope you notice the difference in the future too.

  2. Jacqui, fabulous review! That story about your sister cutting off your hair though! Oh my goodness. My hair was always pin straight and I wanted curls so bad when I was a kid so my mom would give me perms. Even the perms wouldn’t stick and she would finish the whole process and my hair would come out perfectly straight. It was the strangest thing. Then years later I cut my hair from shoulder length to a pixie style and all these tiny little pin curls popped up all over my head! And now it’s long and straight but I can get it to hold a curl with bendy rollers. You really do have beautiful hair, btw! The color is gorgeous and it’s so shiny and silky!

  3. Your hair looks lovely and it's great that these products have been working for you! My eldest bog had curly hair as a baby until my husband gave him a haircut once and did a buzz cut, ha! Never got his curls back. I won't let him near my youngest's hair, his is still curly!

    Thanks for the link up!

Hope that you are having a good week :)

  10. Jacqui, what a funny story about your sister cutting your hair. My parents had contemplated shaving my head as a child due to an old wives' tale that then my hair would grow back straight. They never did it but who knows if that would have worked.

  12. Your hair is lovely and shiny Jacqui! I did something similar with my brother's hair. I told mom whike she was on the phone we were playing "barber". I cut off chunks of my brothers hair and it was a mess! Mom was not thrilled! :-) I am always interested to learn about hair products, so thanks for the intro!
