Appreciate you joining me.
You find me a very impatient MummaB today, you see my eldest daughter's baby was due yesterday and as of yet nothing has happened! You can imagine she's just about had enough now - especially as her other babies were early! She's tried the hot curry and raspberry leaf tea, so next I think she should try jumping up and down ... lol!
Talking about up and down - I've been actually enjoying my keep fit classes recently, seems I've turned a corner and don't ache as much afterwards - my stamina has also improved and I think my skiing break has helped that, I was on the go every day whilst away. I've also been following a calorie counting diet - you literally count everything you eat and stick to a certain amount each day - it's surprising how easy I can get carried away with the odd biscuit and snack throughout the day. I did follow the keto diet (you may recall I lost 2 stone on that) but just couldn't get back into it. So I'm on day 4 and I’m pleased to say so far so good, it's more about when you can eat rather than what you can't, and that makes a huge difference to the mindset of losing weight. Do tell me if you have any secrets to losing weight!
So without any more deviations, let me run you through my look of the day.
If you saw my post on Monday featuring some tan trousers or following me on IG this week you'll have seen I've been quite hooked on wearing wide leg trousers. They have to be one of my favourite styles and whenever I wear them I gain so much confidence. The reason is that I know they suit my body shape.
I'm a pear! So wearing fitted, skinny trousers don't really make me look my best (although I do wear them).
So today I'm on day four of styling palazzo styles with, dare I say, elegant vibes! Do pop over to my Instagram to see my look.
They have to be one of my favourite styles and whenever I wear them I gain so much confidence.
My pretty pink trousers will get loads of wear come the Spring, I have plenty of tops and jumpers that will compliment them perfectly. You might remember seeing them with this glamorous pink leopard print blouse last year, I felt tres chic in it too. I really need to get some matching pink boots as they will make my legs look longer, another great reason to wear this style.
Here I opted for white additions, that came from my white patterned jumper that's quite fitted and looks nice on. It has a diamond pattern over most of it, a round neck and like my trousers came from Marks and Spencer. I also added a similar necklace to the one I wore with my black trousers. The blingy beads of different shapes is a sparkly addition and one I really like - it adds interest to my look as does the bright and cheerful scarf I picked. With colourful hues of pink and blue its radiating Spring vibes all over the place, hope it budges "proper Spring" to arrive. X
Four reasons to wear wide leg trousers:
- They lengthen your legs.
- They slim your hips.
- Super comfortable to wear.
- Very versatile to style.
This is the look I styled on Monday. I paired my tan version with black, mainly because of the scarf I wanted to use. The wind wasn't in my favour, and had my scarf and hair blowing all over the place - made for some interesting blooper piccys which drives me mad!
By Tuesday I'd got the bug for wearing more of this flattering look, so styled my faithful black ones. These have been around for ages and always look super cute on. Teamed with a neutrals, these black beauties look banging with my cream jacket and the ever-popular leopard scarf.

Away From The Blue
Those trousers are a stunning colour! Love them. You style wide legged pants so well x
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqui - I think wide legs look lovely on you but I find them just too cold to wear - brrr. I'd have to wear leggings underneath to go outside and actually the shape doesn't suit me, but we're all different and you look great in them Did like the pink ones :)
ReplyDeleteEcho your thoughts about the elegance of wide leg trousers Jacqui, given me some good links to find more. Sometimes of course they can be too wide, when I get them tailored to fit, makes them much more enjoyable to wear.

Your beautiful scarf keeps drawing my attention! I am going to plan a week of outfits with scarves next month, I am giving myself prompts to wear all of my things! That style of pants really suits you and I love how great you look both in the brights and in the neutrals. Hope your daughter has a safe delivery and this coming month I am going to try to stick to intermittent fasting for 5 weeks to help with my waistline!

I am with you on wide leg trousers and jeans. But, somehow, they look ever so much better on you! I think it's because I'm so short! But, I wear them anyway! You can take the girl out of the 70s but you can't take the 70s out of the girl...that's my story anyway!
