Spring Greens from Cotton Traders.

Morning everyone.
How are you all today?

I've had another super weekend, with lots accomplished.
Saturday was one of those days when loads got done and Sunday wasn't too bad either.  Hubby and I cut both front and back grass and did plenty of clearing and sorting.  We also got a few jobs done in the house with my daughter helping sort some of the crap we had stored.  Are we the only house who has tons of 'stuff' all over the place?  There's lots to go to the charity shop, some bags to go to the tip and a few bits that have just been 'moved' lol!

Another amazing dinner on Sunday with roast lamb being served for 7.  I do enjoy having the family round for dinner, we always have plenty to laugh about and I end up eating way to much!

I've wanted to add more brighter colours to my outfits, and one colour that's missing is green.  It's not a shade I choose to wear, but think it might suit my colouring ... I have hazel eyes so when I do pick it I often get nice compliments.  When I was invited to style some Cotton Traders items I immediately added this stunning green cardigan to my list.  Have you noticed it's all about cardigans recently?  Plenty of ladies styling them back-to-front or doing buttons up different ways, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give that a try.
But today I'll share the basic way to wear it.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I noticed this green cardigan* being drawn to the pointelle style - I love any sort of lace detail, it just looks so feminine.
You may have seen this popular knitted cardigan on TV and I can assure you it's as good in real life as it looks.  Customers were so happy with this style last year, Cotton Traders just had to include it for a second time with these two new colour ways ... bright green and deep coral and to be honest I'd have been happy with either colour.
I picked my standard size 14 and I'm pleased to report it's true to size.  I hate when something's tight or stretched, so when I slipped the cardigan on it didn't let me down.

Sometimes it's nice to keep an outfit safe and simple isn't it!  But I do have some dramatic ideas for the knitwear - do watch out for them!

I wanted to show my green beauty off, so white was the best partner.  I wore these Magic Comfort Jeans* which are also from Cotton Traders.  One word wow!  I'm so impressed with the fit.
They're a straight leg style which is really popular now, just so much more flattering than skinny's I think.
With super soft material which has just the right amount of stretch in them, they hold you in - in all the right places - that's the clever seams that discreetly lift and pull-in creating a stunning silhouette.  Therefore they deserve the title 'magic', because that's just what they are!

Teamed with white T shirt  I love the simplicity of my look, and don't the chunky buttons work well - when this is fastened there's no button slipping through and coming undone.  I kept the colour uniform and wore white mules - fortunately the weather was warm enough for bare feet, been ages since I've been able to go out with thick socks and boots - doesn't it feel good to go 'naked' ... ha ha.

Finishing touches from my plunge necklace.  Mine was a present from my son years ago.  The school would have a day of Christmas shopping for the children where they could buy gifts for family and friends at a reduced rate.  Things like gloves, mugs, toys, calendars and jewellery could be bought and this is what my son chose, you can see why it is so important to me.  The kids would take money in and a little list of who to buy for, they could pick what they wanted for the person and have it wrapped ready to go under the tree - what a magical time for them and most of the kids managed to buy themselves a pressie too!!
The beads are a stunning shade of emerald green & contain shiny tubes and round stones with a tassel effect on the bottom.

I know I'll be in trouble with the fashion police, but I used my white clutch bag which kicked my three-colour-rule into touch and left just two colours in play.  Sometimes it's nice to keep an outfit safe and simple isn't it!  But I do have some dramatic ideas for the knitwear - do watch out for them!

Thanks so much for stopping by, do let me know your thoughts on my green and white ensemble.
Have a super week, it's a short one for us as it's Easter weekend coming up ... best get my Easter Eggs sorted!!!!
Cheerio for now. X
