Hope Bank Holiday weekend is going well for you.
I've had a ball!
Friday night I went to Ballroom as usual, we learnt the quickstep. Boy was it quick! I got quite hot running around the floor doing chasse's, lock Steps and quarter turns, it was great to learn these fast steps and I managed to get through the whole routine fairly well, even if I do say so myself. Back home to a Chinese takeaway and a glass of fizz with the excited anticipation of a long Bank Holiday weekend laying ahead of me.
Saturday morning was spent in the garden, I cut both front and back lawn and after tidying up a few pots and running my daughter into Canterbury I came home to strim the boarders. I love to see the garden all neat and tidy and will be getting the pots ready for Summer plants and flowers in the next few weeks. We had a cheat meal again by way of a burger and kebab! Not the healthiest of dinners, but tasted bloody good! Hubby and I watched Forest Gump although I have to admit to not seeing the end of it, it's a brilliant film and isn't Tom Hanks just the best actor!
Sunday was nice and relaxed, I'd decided not to do a big roast but knew I had a full fillet steak in the freezer so decided to cook a Beef Wellington. Yes it was amazing! Tasty and delicious as you can imagine it would be - I didn't prepare or cook, hubby did that, but I am a fantastic sous chef getting everything chopped and ready to go, oh and having little tastes along the way - well that's the perks of the job isn't it!
As it's the beginning of May, there's only one thing to share today ... the April Review!
With April being a month of colder temperatures I wanted to share some new sandals and a shirt with you. So layers are the best thing to turn to in cooler climbs therefore I picked wide leg trousers, a cotton shirt and little jacket which was just right for the mid-temperatures that we encountered. Do stop by to read all about my frilly blouse and comfy mules.
White jeans are a big favourite of mine. I love to wear them with all manner of colours. Green is a new one for me, I just don't have much in my wardrobe to facilitate that urge so when I was approached by Cotton Traders I just had to incorporate this emerald green beauty into my style. Do let me know what you think of this stunner!
I'm a big floral's fan are you? They play a big part in my guise and have many designs in my wardrobe that come out to play quite often! This one is going to be a winner for the foreseeable future as there's so many choices for it! Do pop back to see what you'd wear with it & let me know in the comments!
We had a right game with the Easter Egg Hunt I set for the grand-kids - they had a fabulous time and went home with a ton of chocolate eggs! My children also got eggs and a great big roast dinner too!
Come check out all my beautiful grand-kids and their buckets of goodies too!
I'm all in a tizz with my next post! I love this ditsy print all over my Cotton Traders skirt and adore the whole look with grey boots and bold pink shirt. Both shades are picked out well from the crinkle skirt, do let me know if this is a style you'd wear my friends. X
Next up - the ladies from Style Not Age set about sharing their looks for the prompt This Old thing! I felt quite at home with this challenge as I have to admit to being a hoarder and having loads of 'old' stuff (some call it vintage too) to call upon.
How many handbags do you own? Me I have loads, but always on the look-out for more so when I was offered the chance to own a Teddy Blake I jumped at the chance. Well with a pink leather stunner to entice me what else is a girl to do ... I jumped on it with both hands firmly round the handals! I paired it with a pink and green dress. This one is from Marks and Spencer and was the princely sum of £17!! A sale buy and I'm so glad I found it because it's just so me! Do stop by the post to read all about my bargain and new bag. X
Thanks so much for stopping by today, please do join me on Thursday as I have the #Chicandstylish #LINKUP AND I have a tempting pair of sandals to share with you - I'll see you then!
Bye for now. X
You look lovely in florals and that green cardigan is cute!

Been quite busy and another busy month for me now too! But it's my birthday month, so all good. Jacqui x
DeleteYou've certainly had a busy month, Jacqui! I'm quite envious of you going to ballroom lessons. I managed to get Michael to go years ago but he refused when we started doing latin—he hated moving his hips lol!!

Oh so true Suzy, another busy one this month too! I adore ballroom, but wished hubby would come with me - ha ha, I think David would be quite good at it! xx
DeleteWhat a wonderful month! We have friends who own a dance studio and we went once (it's not very close by). I had dreams of taking some lessons with the hubby but it might have to wait till he retires which is still probably 15 years away =) I love that you do that! Your white wide leg pants outfit is my favorite here but so many pretty pieces in the others too. So glad you are enjoying lots of family time!
