Wedding wear in Izabel London.

Afternoon my friends.
I can't believe I'm so late with this post!

I've have such a busy weekend with a wedding on Saturday and then it was my birthday yesterday!
So today's post will be be bit short and sweet, but I promise to be back on track by Thursday.

So let's start with the wedding.
It was the wedding of one of my daughter's oldest friends, which she was bridesmaid.  It's be planned for a few years, and fortunately Covid didn't cause any issues for them.  I mentioned in a previous post I'd bought a dress from the same company I was gifted this beauty from.  Izabel London have an absolutely stunning selection and at one stage I have about 7 in my basket!  I finally took the plunge with this cerise stunner.  I just couldn't resist the colour and style and knew without a doubt that it would suit me and I had just the right shoes to go with it.

You can see my previous post featuring the maxi I was sent and as they're both reasonably priced maybe I should have bought more!

The wedding venue was actually where my son got married back in 2019, although his wedding was under Covid rules with only 15 people allowed. Saturday's celebration was rather different, there was about 100 family and friends there to enjoy the day.

I adore wearing pink and always feel at home in it.  I had a gorgeous dress I wore to my engagement party back in 1984, it had a daring cowel back feature - very much in fashion in the 80's.  I'm going to try and find a photo if I can.  So when I came across this zebra print maxi online I was smitten.  It's got long sleeves that finish on the cuff with an elastic finish.  It's a maxi style which I'm loving atm, just so feminine and ladylike - especially with a pleated skirt, that's just such a timeless classic isn't it.

Have you seen it's got an interesting neckline.  It's a square style and I did wonder if it would look right, but as soon as I slipped it on I was hooked.  It has a tie belt in matching material and can be pulled in tight to create a stunning shape.

I had a pair of shoes just waiting to be worn.  I won them on an Instagram competition and they've been patiently waiting to be worn for a couple of years.  I was waiting for the RIGHT occasion to pull them out and Saturday's wedding was it.  They are a striking white satin, which I understand can be stained to compliment any dress shade, but the white worked well with my pink and white animal print.  They also have pretty pearl detail on the straps making them stand out and get noticed - I got a nice complement about them too!  Head over to Paradox London to see for yourself how stunning they are and although mine aren't available now, the Anika is very similar.  There's a huge selection and many are dyeable which makes finding matching footwear an easy task.

Although I got some lovely remarks about my whole outfit, this little fella stole the show!  My grandson Max is now 6 months old and was on his very best behaviour for the day.  Can you see why he was the center of attention?

Do come back on Thursday to read about my birthday celebration, I have a fantastic cake to show off!
Many thanks for joining me today.  I do appreciate you support.
Catch you soon and I promise to be on time with the Linkup.
Cheerio for now. X
