Pastel Picking - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Are you all feeling elated?

I'm having such good fun with all the family in Spain.  I hope you're following along on IG to see what I'm up to and what I'm wearing.  Some of the dresses you will have seen before but there's a couple of new pieces that I just couldn't resist.

Bit short and sweet I'm afraid, but I hope you're all having a super week and are looking forward to July!

I'm sharing a look that I'm a big fan of.  Wide leg trousers are not only flattering for my pear shape but make for a graceful and classic look. They fit in the right places skimming my hips and balancing out the whole look.  I like to wear a more fitted top with maybe a frill (like mine today) or a fabric with a big bold pattern.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 10% my own honest comments. 

I found the trousers in New Look, I shopped online, which I don't particularly like - but knowing this style suits me and that I already have a few pairs that are similar I had no qualms about buying them.  

to be honest I did buy two pairs as the first size I bought were a bit big, the only problem being that I bought the size smaller and they were a tad tight!! I'm between sizes which is really frustrating, So I'll continue my calorie counting and hope the smaller size will fit better in time.

I was lucky to receive the top from Bonmarche as a little Easter gift, I have to say I was so chuffed when it arrived with some matching pink cargo style trousers - you can see when I wore those for the Easter Egg Hunt with the grandkids. 

The frilly top is a super shade of baby pink* and is covered with little bobbles, it's a fun little top that also goes well with jeans.  It's double layered which gives great coverage & has a cute little neck tie.  This can be left or tied in a bow.  I love the sleeve detail, anything with a frill on has my name on it .. lol!

Keeping with the neutral theme but adding a pop of brighter pink to add interest.  I'm smitten with this bag, loving the size and shape too. You can find out all about this gifted bag when I wore it with a black, pink and green dress. The shoes I picked are very fashionable at the moment - it's the trendy ankle tie detail that I was drawn too and I think they look great on!

Not really the weather for jackets at the moment, but this faux suede biker jacket completes the look nicely.  This is similar to the bright fiery orange one I have, both are from Bonmarche and both come out to play every once in a while.
