36 Years, How Did That Happen? - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

It's been another busy week for me, well I'm away on Saturday to Rhodes and I've been getting everything sorted with lots of lists laying around so I don't forget anything.

On Tuesday it was Mine and David's 36th Wedding Anniversary.  If you were quick and had eagle eye's you'd have seen the big mistake I made on Monday's post I put 34 years and don't quite know how that happened.  I saw my sister-in-law the next day who told me about it, I swiftly changed it ... I have to blame someone don't I (can't be my fault), so my proof reader get's the blame! ... aka David. 😂

I can't quite believe where the years have gone, it all seems to go by so quickly doesn't it!  I'm sure it's because we fit so much in our lives and want to achieve more and more as time goes on.  

We went for dinner in our usual venue near us.   Reads Restaurant is an elegant Georgian manor house and the fine dining we experience there is just amazing.

Anyway let's take a look at what I wore on Tuesday evening.

It's a typical summer dress style, shirred bodice, fits to midway between knee and ankle and has a gorgeous puff sleeve and gypsy frill on the hem.

I got a lift from my eldest daughter who also got roped into taking photos for me.  We have a very similar shot taken a couple of years ago when I wore this striking cerise dress for the second time  hop back to the blog post to see it.

My dress was an impulse buy from Marks and Spencer.  I'd seen a blogging pal wearing it and couldn't help but fall for it.  Maybe the colour ... it's white and yellow, well it's almost lime, or possibly the style .. it's trending at the moment, so if you want one, don't hesitate to get your own as it's getting snapped up by the minute.

It's a typical summer dress style, shirred bodice, fits to midway between knee and ankle and has a gorgeous puff sleeve and gypsy frill on the hem.  Best bit for me is the flattering square neckline that shows off a tan nicely.  I didn't feel the need for a necklace, but a floral number would give it extra points for sure.

If you frequent M & S, you'll know they boast three different fits ... short, regular and long, and sizes run from 6 - 24 which is brilliant.  I opted for my usual size and it didn't disappoint.

I wore it with my new mules that I got for my holiday, white mules are a good choice as they go with so much and mules are right on point at the moment. X

David checking out the wine list, we went for a cool Laurent-Perrier champagne which was heaven.  Went down very well with the whole dinner, I was so full up I was almost in a food coma!!!!
