The dress I bought from a Market in Majorca - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi there,
Hope you're doing well.

Thanks so much for joining me today.
I'd love you to join the link up below, let me see what you've worn this week or what you've been up to!
I've been back to normal after my holiday to Majorca. Back to the gym, dance classes, washing, ironing and cutting the grass. Groan .... cutting the grass is such hard work & seems to go on forever.  Well to be honest there is hope insight as we are starting our 'new build' in the summer so the cutting area will a little bit smaller than usual ... hooray!

I've yet to do my post about my recent holiday to the Island but what I wanted to share this pretty little dress I found in the local market.

We knew the market was on a Friday, but once we'd walked to the starting point (coincidentally by a fun little bar) nothing was there.  So we started walking along the route is should have been until someone looked backwards and spotted it going the other way along the seafront!  There were the usual stalls selling local produce, unusual jewellery, leather goods and plenty of dress stalls.  I wanted to find something that would be good for the holiday and also great to wear at home.  Fortunately I managed to find this one.  My cotton midi is a striking shade of orange that has gotten me a whole load of compliments, which is brilliant because I've only worn it once!

So more about the dress.
It's a normal style for me, something I'd wear often.  A relaxed tea style dress that sits mid way between my knee and ankle, & it looks rather chic to boot!  It was also available in a deep blue, but both David and I preferred this shade of bright and colourful orange.  It's more me and goes with my colour and I think it looks even better with my newly acquired tan. 😊
Forward thinking ... I reckon it will look super with tights and boots in Autumn.

The design, which is one I love, is an enlarged paisley print.  It has a gypsy style hem which is emulated in the 3/4 sleeves too.  It's has a swishy skirt which can't help but give you a ladylike feel.

I went out with my old work colleagues and wore this dress, put on at the last minute because the white dress I was wearing in the day got some dirty marks over it from the chain on my handbag.  All my friends gave me some lovely complements about it and I knew I'd made a good decision to buy it ... for €25... bargain!
I wish I'd bought a suitcase full back with me because of the lovely comments I got.

Comfortable shoes were the only choice for my night out, not that I was going to be doing a lot of walking, but the cream mules I got from Deichmann last year, get top marks for style and ease of wear.  Love finding footwear that fits well, look good and don't cost a fortune. X
