Navy & White - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hello my friends.
How's you week been?

Mine has been really busy!  I wouldn't say I've achieved much, but it's been full on!
I managed to grab a couple of hours shopping on Tuesday, I visited Westwood Cross and although there's not many shops there now, I was pleased to come home with a lovely pair of trousers.

I've wanted more of the easy to wear style of wide leg and stretchy waist like my pair from Primark and found these in Marks and Spencer. Aren't they the top of fashion at the moment!  I’ve been after a pair in the trending colour olive or khaki, as it's also called, alas I didn't find any, but have spotted some on the M & Co website that I might get.  I bought my second choice of navy and am really taken with this pair.  The fabric has a good heavy drape and the elastic waistband makes them extremely comfortable and as you can imagine they've been worn already!
This is what I wore yesterday and to be totally honest I might be wearing them again tonight when I'm off to The Cotswold Company in Tunbridge Wells for their Autumn Event. You'll have to watch my Stories to see if I do!

Items marked with * were gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

So I mentioned that navy was my second choice, but I'm glad I went for them instead of black.  I have numerous pairs of black trousers and navy has made a nice change .. plus I've got plenty that will look great with them.  I've got ideas of pink, tan, cream, red and green to name a few.  Do let me know if you have any other ideas.

So back to today's outfit.  Good old navy and white.  It's such a good mix, clean and fresh and makes a nice change for dry Autumn days. With that being said guess who got caught in the rain running to grab some garlic bread and a bottle of fizz ... yes you guessed right! Ha ha ha!

This a quite an old jumper however it still looks okay and will do until I find one that's better quality.  It goes out of shape really easily so ends up looking a bit baggy - especially when I pull the sleeves up.
I do like the pattern though, makes the outfit that little bit more interesting I think.

I pulled the cotton blazer* to top off the look.  It's really a summer jacket, but worn over the jumper it kept me nice and warm, almost too warm at times, but that's the beauty of layers isn't it. On one minute then off … like a revolving door! 😂

Chunky trainers are a must with wide leg trousers and have to be the style of the year.  It's so nice to embrace this trend because not only do they look good but they reinforce the fact that all ages can wear the same styles and still look as good.  Is this a style you like to wear?
If you fancy getting a pair for yourself there's so many on the market in different styles and colours, you'll not go wrong with this fashion statement & they'll see you through to the next season and no doubt beyond.
Mine are from a selection at Lotus Shoes, you can read about them here.  They're from The Stressless collection, and I can see why they're called that - so very easy to wear, comfortable and stylish and look far more expensive than they are priced at!*

  3. Jacqui, I am always a fan of a classic navy and white look. These trousers look great on you and I do love the combination of baggy pants with chunky sneakers for a cool, on-trend vibe. I love navy with so many different colors like green, turquoise, orange, yellow, red, pink, brown, or tan. Navy is just as neutral and versatile as black! I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for hosting, my friend.

  12. This modern twist on a classic look is fabulous. Opting for navy blue was a smart choice, especially when it's such a deep, rich hue.
