Hello and welcome to my blog.
I like to share my outfits with you for most occasions including casual looks for running to the shops to full on dressed up wedding guest attire. Today though, I want to share something a little different for me - today it's all about a Christmas List for dog lovers!
I've been lucky enough to have three dogs in my life, the first when I was much younger and lived at home, so our Labrador called Champagne was really my mum's dog. Fast forward to when my children were younger my husband suggested we get a dog. I didn't really want one mainly because of the mess they cause, the dependency & the upset they create when anything happens to them. I eventually gave in and our little Jack Russel, called Candy, arrived. I fell in love immediately. A little bundle of fluff who curled up on my lap and showered me with affection. After a few years we decided Candy should have puppies, so five arrived - one boy and four girls. As you can imagine we were all smitten with them and nearly ended up with all of them staying with us! Lol
We found good homes for them all and kept one gorgeous spotted girl who we named Roxy after Roxy Hart in Chicago. Two dogs were fun, and weren't much trouble at all, that was until my darling Candy started showing signs of dementia and became very poorly with it - we had to make the terrible decision to let her go which was one of the worst things I've had to do. Some years later after a wonderful life the same happened to Roxy - such a hard thing for people to go through and those of you who have animals will understand how I felt.
But let's talk about happier times and the fact that my son recently got a dog, naming her Halle - you may remember my post about looking after her when they went away. She's a Bichon-Poodle and is an absolute darling, I mean just look at that face!
This is a sponsored post, however these are all my own honest comments.
With Christmas just around the corner I thought it would be a good time to share some gift ideas for dog lovers and other pets. Dogs bring us such joy and there are so many benefits to owing one. Here's a few I found to be personally true.
- They make you feel less alone
- They can stop you stressing out.
- Encourage you to move more.
- Make you more sociable.
- Can help you get through a crisis.
Keeping the memories alive can be a great help, they were here and did give you joy and love. X
- Unique Canvas Art.
What about an individual piece of artwork celebrating your gorgeous fur baby. Using your own photograph your pretty pooch or crazy cat can be uploaded and personalized into a stunning piece of artwork, and you can pick from hundreds of designs. Whether you want your pet posing as a King or standing as a soldier the choice is yours. Other possibilities include phone cases, mugs or cushion covers. Such an interesting and unique gift idea for dog lovers.
- Custom Blanket.
How about this for comfort and style, your pets very own customized blanket. Snuggle up in your own personalised throw for chilly nights on the sofa, when you want a cuddle from that special pet who might not be around. X
- Key Rings.
Share a picture of your best friend in a key-ring. These beautiful customised key rings will have your pets memory etched in crystal as well as etched on your heart. People who love their pets will adore having a unique piece like this - show them you care by adding one to their Christmas present.
- Personalised Christmas Decoration.
I couldn't find a gift like this for my dog loving friend who's doggy had passed away. I was looking a few years ago everywhere and didn't have any luck, so ended up making one myself.
My friend had lost her dog a few months earlier, so in a local shop I found a glass bauble that was hinged on the side. I filled it with white feathers and had her dogs name printed and placed it inside, I tied a pretty white bow on the top so it could hang from the Christmas tree. 🤍
You won't need to do that as these are beautifully made for you with your dogs name on it so you can keep them in your thoughts over Christmas too. This is a wonderful memorial piece that can be placed on your tree or hung in your home to remember your doggy all year round. X
- A Dozen Dapper Dogs.
Just look how cute these Hotel Chocolat doggy chocolates look. I'm definitely gooey-eyed over these. Twelve delicious milk, white and dark chocolates to delve into, I mean what dog lover wouldn't want to receive this for their pressie. But definitely don't let the dog have any chocolate!

Great ideas aren't they Alexandra, I'd love all of them! x
DeleteThese are great ideas! Halle is so cute! I've had a couple of labradors but my last dog died about 15 years ago. They are a lot of work, especially big dogs. I couldn't commit to having one now though. Plus, I don't think Henry (my cat) would be impressed by a sharing the house with a dog! Thanks for sharing at the link up!
