Hi there my friends.
How's it going?
Hasn't the week gone quickly? Mine seems to have flown by, must be because I've been back on top form, going to the gym and seeing all the family.
Yesterday I went for Afternoon Tea again. It was a treat from my daughter to my Mum and lucky for me I was invited too! I spent a lovely couple of hours in Deal at a little venue called The Lane,
The stunning Afternoon Tea was almost overwhelming. There was so much choice with a plethora of sweet and savoy fancies that had us all swooning over. Checkout what was on offer below - I hope I don't make you jealous!
So let me tempt you with what my delicious afternoon tea included.
Savoury:
- Winter Pie (which was a meat pie).
- Lentil Soup with Crostini.
- Bread Brie Bits with Cranberry and Redcurrant Chutney.
- Mini Yorkshire with Beef and Horseradish.
- Loaded Potato Skin with Pulled Pork & Cheddar Cheese.
- Chicken, Bacon and Mayo Slider.
- Caramel & Chocolate Brownie.
- Oreo Cookie Bar.
- Pecan Tart.
- Sticky Toffee Cupcake.
- Black Forest Pudding Pot.
- Mini Chocolate Milk & Cream.
They also offer a vegetarian and gluten free option.
I had a big pot of tea which was hot and strong and also had a bottle of Prosecco to share - there wasn't much sharing though as only two of us wanted it! So the rest of the bottle came home with me. ( I finished it in the evening 😉)
You might have seen this pretty classic dress on Instagram, it's from Roman Originals and I bought it last year for my trip to Abu Dhabi. It's one of those dresses that just feels right for days out like my afternoon tea or a trip to the cinema or dinner in town. It's a comfortable stretchy fabric that's nice and warm from the midi length and long sleeves.
I usually wear this red beauty with black boots or shoes, but yesterday I opted for these stylish cream pair. They are easy to wear and kept my feet toasty and very comfy. My boots are from Asos a couple of years ago, but have well earned their place in my collection as they come in handy more often than you would think. See them styled with a blue floral when I dined at The Ritz and with this Spring outfit. You can see just how versatile a pair of light coloured boots can be!
Me and my Mum. She thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and even though she's also getting over a bad cough and cold was on top form.
I somewhat gate-crashed the event but am so pleased I did - it was well worth it and at £25 each very much value for money.
Three guesses who stole the show and flirted with the other customers!
Yes you guessed correctly. 😍 My grandson Max! 💗
Four generations in the next photo - just the best thing to spend time with family isn't it?
