Styling my colourful wrap dress - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hello, welcome to the blog and I hope you stay for a while.

I went back to the gym on Wednesday, boy was that a shock to the system. To be fair I'm glad I went as I felt amazing after it.
We've booked our skiing holiday.  We're off to France at the beginning of February, and I'm crossing everything that they will have a big dump of snow as it's been sparse to say the least in Europe.
Our destination does seem to have plenty at the moment, so I hope it will at least stay like that until after we leave!
I won't been buying anything new as I've got plenty to see me through and as it's not a dressy holiday all I've got to take will be good enough. I literally can't wait to get away, our little grandson Max is coming on his first Winter skiing holiday and although he's only just one, there'll be some snow play for sure.  I did send my daughter a TikTok video of a little 10 month old skiing, but I think that's just a tad too much to expect, lol!

I have got a new dress to share with you though, this cute little wrap dress was gifted to me from Bonmarche.  I do hope the weather improves so that I can get back into wearing my dresses.  It's been way too chilly for me recently so I've been rocking my jeans and jumpers.  It's all about the warmth factor for me.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I spotted this dress a while back and am sad to say it's no longer an option.  I know it will get plenty of wear in the Spring when this pretty floral will really come to life.  I was drawn to the colours.  Green and blue seem to be a popular choice now-a-days and the old saying really does pale into insignificance when you see them like this.

So let's talk about my wrap dress.  Not really a proper wrap, it's just the bodice part that wraps over.  This was a tad loose on me, so I fixed it in place with a little safety pin. It's a style I like to wear, and think it flatters my shape.  As you can see it's a midi length which, again, I find suits me.

The patchwork fabric consists of green, and a stunning cobalt blue that has black splodges over it with green spots over the white section too.  It's just grown and grown on me and I can't wait to wear it again.
As usual I picked my go-to size which overall fitted beautifully, as I mentioned before, just the bust section was a bit big for me, although I don't know why ...  (You can read about my recent bra fitting last month when I was shocked to find out I needed a bigger size!)

A nice blue bag complimented the dress as did the long off white boots.  I'll be wearing it with my cute green tie shoes when it gets a bit warmer, but until then when I wear it again it'll be teamed with my knee high black boots.

It's got a flattering tie belt at the waist and with long sleeves this dress is going to be perfect for Spring.

I felt the dress was crying out for a white coat, so popped this one over the top for a soft and classic finish.  It'll be spot on for warmer days for an afternoon tea or shopping trip.  I've also got a lovely white jumper that I'm going to wear over the top, it'll look like a skirt and jumper, thus adding another look for it.  I know, like me, a lot of you wear jumpers over dresses, we all love something that gives that little bit extra!  Hooray!

  3. How exciting to go to France in February. The most boring month of the year. Well, not for you! That's a very nice dress, I love a wrap or a faux wrap dress and the colours together are very pretty!

  15. That dress is fabulous! Fingers crossed for plenty of snow for your skiing trip. Isobel is going to Italy on a skiing trip at the end of February - I think she's more excited about all the pizza and pasta than the skiing!
