How's it going?
The spate of birthdays has arrived for Mummab! There's two this month, then six next month followed by three in May, and that's only immediate family! It's an expensive few months, with lots of fizz and party cake to get through ... I know I'll do anything for the cause!
I went to a couple of shops yesterday whilst birthday present shopping and one in particular wowed me with their offerings. I abstained though and didn't buy anything ... err well I did buy a sports top as the few I have are a bit tight on me. The one I found was in the Matalan sale and will work really well for my gym classes, and for only £4.50 I couldn't think of a reason not to!
We had a fun evening last night celebrating my youngest's (grand-daughters) birthday, she's now one and really is a little treasure. She's been walking since she was 8 months so the little wooden pram I bought her was much appreciated. She scooted around with a little soft doll and toy doggy on board, I felt that was a good gift for her. He other grand-daughters birthday on Friday and I'm joining them on a visit to The Rare Breeds Centre which is just outside Ashford, but I'm praying the weather will be nice to us and not be cold or snowy. Stay tuned for that one!
With warmth at the top of my list at the moment, these snuggly boots arrived at just the right time. Do read on to find out all about these stylish little ankle boots from Hotter Shoes.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
I've got plenty of boots in my collection, but as all us girls know a girl can never have enough boots can we! So when I was asked to styled a pair from Hotter Shoes collection I jumped at the chance of including these. I have another similar pair that I've had for quite a few years and wanted to replace for ages.
Mine are from a very well known company but I've been quite miffed to have holes appear in them making them look quite tatty.
Step in the Calin*
The Calin is a suede ankle boot that's all about being easy to wear and even easier to style. These are my go-to casual look that I feel very much at home in especially when styled with jeans or a tracksuit.
I've worn mine with both, but today wanted to share them with my skinny jeans when I popped to drop off a couple of parcels and grab some dinner ingredients. So skinny's fit well with the boots, there's no need for tucking them in! I like these things to look neat and tidy don't you?
I know I keep saying I'm not going to wear my skinny's anymore, but I just can't get rid of them! They look so good for the right opportunity eh! I've got loads of different denim styles in my wardrobe, and wear all of them at different times, that's the beauty of jeans isn't it, there's a style for every occasion ... well nearly, I probably wouldn't wear them for a wedding or christening! Lol!
Come see a closer shot of the mink boots, they're almost a pretty pinky-lilac shade that compliment most clothes I like to lounge around in. They are a standard fit and come in another neutral shade of tan, spoiled for choice my friends!
Finishing touches were my off-white chunky jumper from Blue Vanilla, my matching pea coat, a patterned scarf with mauve and gold additions and my cream Fiorelli Bag.
