How you all doing?
Back to normal after my wonderful little weekend away, but I seem to come back with the holiday blues more than ever now-a-days! Is that normal as we get older? I have to give myself a good talking to and say I've been lucky enough to get away and enjoy the memories. I've also been a bit lack lustre with the Instagram side of Mummabstylish. Sometimes it just makes me so miserable. It's such hard work keeping up with posting, liking and commenting and I really don't feel I'm getting anywhere! The algorithm seems to be all over the place and I don't know what's best to post, when to post and how the hell do I get more followers? I've had a good chat with my daughter, which always helps and I've resorted to moaning on here to you lot ... sorry about that!
So moaning aside let's get the post under way.
Today I thought I’d tell you about my love for dresses and this sheer and delicate long dress I was recently gifted by Izabel Clothing*. I've got several of their dresses and have worn them for weddings and special occasions over the past year, you can view this striking pink and white pleated version here, wearing my long blue maxi & here a black and cream shirt dress with heels.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
As I mentioned above I adore wearing dresses and try to wear one for most occasions, well obviously there's some times when a dress is too much or not warm enough, but for the main I reach for a pretty dress whenever I can. I also prefer to wear heels too, they are so much more feminine aren't they, but not always suitable so obviously you will see me wearing chunky boots and trainers lots of times too.
What do you usually like to wear? Are you a pretty and dainty person or do you prefer comfy and wearable?
This maxi is so pretty and really is right up my street. I love everything about it from the delightful fluted sleeve detail to the floaty feminine tiers. It's a style I find enhances my figure without being tight, I cinch the waist in with the matching tie belt which always creates a lovely shape.
Can you see the dainty little buttons down the front? They are faux and are another sweet little detail that makes the dress stand out. The pattern across the whole of the dress is made up of animal print & block colours of white and coral pink and the sheer fabric feels soft and very smooth to touch, quite a joy to wear.
Let me know in the comments my friends. X
Izabel clothing have a quick turnover of styles which means, unfortunately this is now sold out, but I've seen some similar copies that would look equally as superb on. Checkout this beige style, this floral, animal print mix and this green wrap dress.

Thanks so much for listening to me today, I do appreciate all your lovely comments, and look forward to hearing how you deal with any issues like this!
Chat again on Thursday and don't forget to join the #Chicandstylish linkup.
Cheerio for now. X
First, this dress is sublime! I can see why you love it! I think coral shoes would really pop against the white of the dress. Second, I hear you on Instagram. I don't like it, and I doubt I ever will. It seems a necessary evil, though, right? Last, I find I'm more and more a homebody these days...I don't know if it's age or Covid. I just haven't found much joy in traveling lately. Glad you do!

It’s a beautiful dress Jacqui. I know what you mean about travelling, I think it’s post Covid lockdown after effects.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to put all these colors and prints together as one!
