How's it going?
I'm a tad excited as tomorrow I'm off the the French Alps for a weekend skiing. I'm only going to be actually skiing on Saturday and Sunday and the other two days I'll be travelling. It does seem a long way to go for only two days but if you know how much I LOVE to ski you'll know it'll be 100% worth it.
So with that being said, it's a short and sweet post today, I'm going to show you a trio of sweet dresses. All from Matalan, and all suitable for special occasions you may have coming up. I'm still on the hunt for a dress for the wedding I'm going to in June after sharing the two last week one being a non-starter and the other a possibility. These three are all fabulous, but not quite what I'm after for wedding guest!
I felt like a green goddess in this floaty green and white number. It's got my name all over it as it's a style I wear and wear. It's a lightweight chiffon fabric and hangs really well. The sleeves are roomy and easy to wear as is the midi-nearly-maxi length. It's got an inner lining which I find a great help. I always wear a full or half slip which sometimes can be hot and bulky. No need with this beauty. It's got a pretty tired hem detail which never dates. I like the tie neck detail, which can be left lose or tied at the neck - both look super cute. The green and white paisley dress is machine washable and would be a useful addition to any holiday suitcase, no creasing with this fabric! It's now been reduced to just under £23 - what a bargain I hear you say. Quick checkout the website as it won't last long at this price!
Now this next wonderful white creation is stunning. I can see myself out to lunch by the beach or strolling the back street boutiques abroad in this. It oozes elegance, feels cool to wear and I would swish and sway to my hearts content. I like the little liner that's inside, it's shorter to show a flash of leg, but keeps everything covered beautifully. I teamed it with my sassy orange bag, but any colour will showcase this crisp and trendy dress. I bet you'll get endless compliments in this cutout classic. 🤍
I have to admit to not being able to find this on the website which I'm so annoyed about. I've had loads and loads of wonderful comments about this charming midi, so it must be sold out! If I can get more details I'll let you all know. X
My final dress is one I spotted a while ago. It's a satin dress in a deep emerald green, but the best bit for me it the big bold cerise pink flowers that are sure to catch the eye of every stylish onlooker. Pair your green or pink sandals with this to make a flamboyant statement.
It's a wrap style that's got a little tie detail on the side, but there's no fear of it slipping and showing more than you'd like because it's fixed! I'm also impressed with the double frill hem making this so elegant. This is one style I love to wear with heels. X
It's also been reduced to just under £22, so another bargain to be had!

Gosh, the last one is gorgeous! But I also love the white one. Have a lot of fun skiing!
ReplyDeleteIt is always nice to add pretty dresses to ones closet but I understand the struggle to find something specific for a particular occasion. I think I now have a nice variety between the 2 I wore at weddings last year and the ones I have thrifted that can be dressed up or down. I really like the white one!
