Hope you are okay.
Just about starting to feel normal after the busy week I've had. Another birthday yesterday so a celebration with drinks, Chinese and some delicious Rocky Road made by my daughter. Yeah don't mention the diet please ... lol
I seem to have got my zest back for blogging and 'graming and have created some photos to use on both platforms. It's been good to hear feed back from fellow bloggers and Instagramers alike stating they've felt just like I did and what they did about it, it's been helpful to read and actually know I'm not the only one! I've also been back to the gym and this ALWAYS makes me feel better. Well doesn't exercising release natural endorphins??? I'm also returning to Ballet after my couple of weeks off, last week I just didn't feel 100% so decided to give it a miss, I've also been away from ballroom dancing too, the first wasn't my fault, but the second session was the club was closed - it's back on this Friday, and I can't wait.
Are you like me and keep special things for special occasions?
We all have our 'go to' comfortable styles that we like to wear lots of the time don't we. You all know I have a big love for jeans and wear them quite a lot in the cooler months but when it comes to warmer temperatures I quite often turn to culottes like these.
They're a lighter-weight fabric and I must say it's been wonderful to put something more suited for better weather. These have a easy to wear elastic waist which is always a winning style for days when we feel 'fatter' lol. Mine have a half fixed waistband and the other is stretchy elastic. Just pull them on with a slinky top like this black version I've had hanging in my wardrobe for what seems a lifetime, and I'm ready to go.
I looked for my white jean jacket but it needed ironing, so I popped this denim one on instead. I hope you're not tired of my old faithful as I know it's been on repeat over the years!
I continued the blue theme of my jean jacket and used my Michael Kors padded bag. It's got a long silver chain handle that can be worn across the body or twisted double for a short more elegant feel.
I mixed it up with trainers. My white Hotter pair have been a godsend over the past year - this trend is definitely here to stay.
Are you like me and keep special things for special occasions? I've been trying to turn this around and wear all the nice things I usually save for best. You may be able to see the necklace I'm wearing, it was a gift from David on birthday years ago and it's been sitting in my jewellery box for most of the year, only getting an airing every once in a while. So I figured I'd change that and start wearing those precious beauties at every opportunity. My Coeur De Lion necklace made an elegant infusion into my look and kept the black and white tones going. Tell me, do you save things for best or wear them at any suitable opportunity?

Just my type of outfit! I love my flowy pants for the warmer months and jean jackets are perfect at all times. And my white trainers are so easy to style with everything. Summer break officially starts tomorrow here: yay!

ReplyDeleteI love this combination! A terrific early summer outfit formula.
ReplyDeleteThose pants are so cute on you!
ReplyDeleteFor so many years after I retired, I kept buying the same types of clothing so I've got lots of "best" things! I'm wearing them as often as I can, but jeans are just so comfortable! Thanks for the link party!

I took a couple weeks off from the blog and IG recently, just because life was SO hectic for a bit there with me away a week for Aut's 8th grade trip (I chaperoned) and jury duty. I am feeling a bit more refreshed to be back, but it does seem the summer is a bit quieter in the blog world. I LOVE the pattern on your pants and the wide legs are something I am starting to love more and more, esp with it getting hot here. I didn't know you did dad! My daughter did pointe this year and I am not sure my toes could handle that! Ha, ha!
