Showing Off on Repeat - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Good morning my friends.
Hoping you are enjoying the week.

Has it turned Autumnal where you are?
Rain today after a few nice days that were quite hot!
Yesterday after the usual gym sessions I came home to tackle to bedroom. My second eldest daughter her husband and son are moving in whilst their bungalow's extended and made into a house, so her old bedroom (my room for my dresses) had to be sorted and found new homes for everything in it! 😱 Yes that’s been very hard to do. With the help of two of my daughters we went through the rail of dresses, separating them into piles keep, charity. Vinted and ditch. It was actually rather therapeutic and I returned from the charity bin feeling like a weight had been lifted off my chest! I’ve already added the pieces to Vinted and within an hour had sold three items!
It’s been really good to go through the dresses, remembering when I wore them, how many times and would I ever get into some of them again! Lol.
So the room is almost empty now, I've got parcels to post and a run to the tip but I’m exciting see it filled mainly with Max ❤️

So you can imagine I’ve not had much time to get blogging, hence this late post and the dress I’m sharing today is a ‘just for fun’ look.  You might have seen this last year when I was debating wearing it for Christmas and since then haven’t had the opportunity to don it. It’s waiting patiently for its outing and I’ll be sure to let you know when I do. But just for now let’s enjoy the colours. 💕💙

Items marked with * were gifted to me, these are my own honest comments.

You saw this before when I thought I might wear it on Christmas Day. It’s such a pretty coloured wrap dress and I paired it with cream court shoes then. When I picked it out the other day it came to mind of wearing it with pink. So I grabbed my cerise pink mule sandals and nicked my daughters pretty pink bag and was good to go. I say good to go, but I wasn’t going anywhere this was  a ‘just for fun’ outfit. It’s going to be top of my list for the next outing in Autumn though as the long sleeves will make it the perfect piece.

It’s a flattering wrap style and one I often turn to. There’s enough material in this Jenerique* dress & as the fabric is so lightweight it moves really nicely. I also love wearing longer dresses sometimes, they have such an elegant feel and certainly do make you feel good when they’re on. Are you a fan of maxi dresses?

I popped a slip under this beauty just for the ‘cling’ factor - I had to see a skirt tucked into the rear … if you know what I mean, so always were a slip, this one may have been a tad long as at times could be seen, soon remedied by a shorted one - job done. Tell me, do you wear a slip under a skirt or dress?

Finally the mules, again you’ve seen them on here before and they not only look great but wearing them is a joy too! They don’t pinch or rub, but my only issue is that they squeak when I wear them … you can hear me coming before you see me! Ha ha ha. Apparently talc will deal with that problem, so I’ll let you know.

My cerise bag would have also fitted into the mix beautifully too, although it’s a bit bigger that I’d have liked to accessorise this one, so would opt for a smaller bag like I’ve shown here, it’s just a bit more dressy and looks so much more feminine. Bigger bags are better for shopping and and maybe lunch dates. What style of bag is your favourite? Do share in the comments my friends.

  5. Yes, Jacqui, I still wear a slip under a dress or skirt. It feels 'odd' without one. How lovely to have your daughter & family move in temporarily.

  8. Hi Jacqui! What a gorgeous dress. These colors are so beautiful on you and I really like the print and wrap style as well. Maxi dresses are definitely my favorite length! Those sandals are super cute, too. I have a few pairs of squeaky shoes, too! They always make me giggle. I am going to try to get back to linking up regularly now that life is calming down some. Thanks so much for hosting!

  9. Hi Jacqui! I love the little bag, as I have been gravitating toward smallish bags these days too. Your dress is so pretty, I love the colors and I do love a great maxi dress. I know what you mean about clearning out the wardrobe, yay for you making sales! I have a ton of listings on Poshmark, and it is hard to sell sometimes I just sent a box to Charity, and have another to go. I have made a rule for myself. If I get a new bag, I have to get rid of an old one, dresses, etc.
