Strive Sandals with Beige Dress - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi there everyone.

How are you all today?

Rather tired to say the least.  I went to the gym yesterday and came home to cut the grass.  Well I wanted to take advantage of the dry warm weather before the grass had a chance to get any longer!  I mean!  It's been the ideal conditions for it to grow, rain and a bit of sunshine makes the perfect conditions, but not only for the grass, for the weeds and the hedges!  Urgh, yes I'm knackered after working all afternoon yesterday!

On a brighter note, Tuesday evening I went, with David, to my daughters for dinner.  Her husband is a really good cook and produced a delicious & tasty dinner featuring scallops, fish cakes and king prawns with mash, pea puree and a delicious sauce that I couldn't even begin to tell you what was in it!  Suffice to say it all went down rather well as did the bottle of Prosecco and the red wine (drunk by hubby and SIL).  I can't wait to be invited again. X

If you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen I managed to find the pair of black sandals I've been searching for, will share them on the blog soon, but today I want to show off another stunning pair with you, they are from the Strive range and have been a joy to wear as they incorporate podiatrist designed 'Biochemical Footbed Technology' which re-designs the classic flat footbed to the natural contours of the feet.

I've been patiently waiting to wear these sandals out.  I've worn them indoors and quite honestly haven't wanted to take them off.  They are literally like putting on a glove, the fit and support they give is outstanding.

Let me explain just why they are so heavenly to wear.

Our feet aren't flat, so Strive designed footwear with a contoured footbed giving these four benefits:

• Follows the natural shape of the foot to help prevent arch collapse.
• Cradles the heel while helping absorb shock.
• Maintains forefoot shape and disperses pressure evenly.
• A lightweight, shock-absorbing foam containing many small air bubbles which offers a 'walking-on-air' sensation.

Strive footwear helps to improve posture and reduce harmful stresses in your feet and body - a contributing factor to many common aches and pains.

If I'd have been away somewhere warm this Summer they would have been on my feet all the time, however with the rain we've had here over the past couple of months I've not had the opportunity to pop them on.  Well that was remedied the other day when I slipped them on with my safari dress.

I'd been in my local supermarket getting a couple of essentials and some makeup so couldn't help but wander around the clothes section.  The sales are in full swing now, so I took full advantage of rifling through the rails and came across this beauty in my size.  Yep it accompanied me home and fits like a dream!

The beige shirt dress has one pocket on the bust, and a tie belt in matching fabric.  I switched this for my orange belt which matched my little bag.  It's a midi length and I think it'll take on another role layered over a dress or trousers as a long-line jacket for cooler days.

Who doesn't love a slip-on?  So easy to wear aren't they?  Well the Gavi II * are not only easy to wear but they are extremely comfortable AND look very stylish too!  They're offered in two additional colourways, and both would be perfect for Summer wear when, teamed with a pretty dress would take you to any number of events.  I'm a sucker for animal prints, so it was a no brainer to pick the snake print - I've got a whole host of dresses to wear with them. X

I received a UK6 which is sometimes a tad small for me, however these have an adjustable buckle fastening across the top which make them the perfect fit for me (I have slightly wider feet).  

I'm really impressed with the arch support I've experienced when wearing them, they really do give full support and although felt slightly strange when I first put them on, my feet soon got used to them and quite honestly almost ran to get them on after that.  In the past I've noticed my feet ache occasionally and I've not been able to pinpoint exactly why and when it happened, but with my feet surrounded by the contour of my new sandals I'm hoping these symptoms will subside. I'll let you know how it goes.
