How’s your month going?
The weather is definitely heading into Autumn isn’t it!
Dewy mornings, and cooler evenings with the nights drawing in are major signs. I’m usually a big fan of the new season arriving, however the fact that we’ve not had a very good Summer gives me mixed feelings - I’ve not embraced all my Summery clothes and have certainly not used the garden to full advantage, I feel very short changed this year to be totally honest! How’s you year been?

I’m building on my autumnal capsule wardrobe, which is based around khaki green. I’ll be sharing some looks over the next few weeks and today my outfit is based around a borrowed tunic top.
One of the advantages of having my daughter live with me is being able to rummage through her wardrobe (my old dress rail that I sorted a few weeks ago) and find any little gems I can style. Do let me know what you think of this season inspired look.
This is a sponsored post, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
If, like me you go with season appropriate colours wearing anything too bright in the wrong season just doesn’t work does it. So all my pretty colourful tops will have to be stored, as will my bright trousers and dresses.
So in with the new season and out came my cream jeans. These are from M & S (similar) a few months back and fit like a dream. I’ve worn them so many times mainly teamed with neutral shades and you can see the versatility of them when I wore them with a pink shirt and Caramel Blazer and styled with a rust jumper and statement jacket.
It’s got long sleeves and a nice v neck down to button fastenings.
If and when I ‘borrow’ it again I may pop either of my two biker jackets over the top, one's beige faux suede the other is orange. ๐งก๐ค๐ค
All in all it’s a super cute outfit that has an Autumn feel all over it. My gold ball necklace is the icing on the cake and sits prettily in the V neck of my shirt. It's a statement piece for sure, and I wear it quite often. I've also got two gold chains, a stylish short one and a longer chain with a sovereign on the end, both mean a lot to me as they were gifts from David, the latter he gave me when the kids were little. I've wanted another chain that will sit in between the two. I'd like it to have bigger, longer links and have seen loads I like here that would be suitable to add to my collection. The Ball necklace really caught my eye, as did the large paper clip chain. There’s a lot to see, do tell me what your choice would be?
Here you can see the volume of fabric that has a perfect swish when I walk - catch my slow motion reel on Instagram.
Tan accessories are the perfect addition to any outfit in this season and I was pleased to find the mules on Vinted for a bargain price BNWT - they were £3 plus postage! They compliment my Ted Baker bag nicely, the chain detail on it is quite striking. I do like a cross-body bag just as much as the next person, but I’ve been wanting a more sturdy handbag with short handles and saw this one from Radley that's on my Christmas list this year.
Mules or slingback’s are just the best for cooler weather when jeans or culottes make appearances, they keep the whole look somewhat lighter when boots can look too heavy & cumbersome.
Thanks so much for joining me today. Have a super week and I’ll catch you Thursday for the linkup.
Cheerio for now. X
What gorgeous colours for autumn, the tan really sets it all off. Michelle xx
