Tan Neutrals and a Swirly Tonal Top - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi there my friends.
Hope you are having a lovely week.
You doing anything nice?

A night out with old work colleagues last night.  I must admit to not wanting to venture out last night as the rain has arrived here and it been really cold, anyone else want to hibernate when it gets like that? We went to a local restaurant that I’ve only been to for lunch.  I wasn’t overly impressed on the first visit, but last night was a different story, maybe it’s because I went for dinner rather than lunch. We shared some smaller dishes … namely olives, prawns, buratta and hot bread. My second course was fish, I enjoyed the sea bream with prawns cannellini beans in a lobster bisque sauce. It was amazing, such tasty food that was devoured as if we’d never eaten before lol. - I’m pleased I went out in the end & had a really nice evening despite the rain! The venue was called Land And Sea so if you’re ever in the area, do give them a look!

I was going to wear this ensemble, but changed my mind last minute.  With the awful weather coming into play I needed something warmer and darker, didn’t want any splashes or dirty marks on these trousers. I thought you’d like to see it anyway

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I’ve had the wide leg trousers for a while now and have actually got them in two sizes! I’m really in-between both of them as one is a tad big the other quite tight! Anyway I still like to put on and style the larger pair - they look okay don’t they?

They’re a nice tan shade and I find this style really suits me. I always like to wear a belt so I’m pleased these have belt loops front and back unlike the khaki pair I showed a few posts back.

Does this top remind you of a previous outfit? It’s the same as this pewter swirl top I styled with a faux leather skirt some time ago.
It’s another gift from Salamander Shirts * and it’s such a nice top I’m excited to wear it again!

I love the colours on my silky top. Browns, creams, burgundy’s and pale blue, such a real eye-catching mix with so many possibilities (I’ve worn it with jeans too & it looks great).
It has a round neck and long sleeves, it’s also got a really pretty ruched detail on the sleeve too.  I adore the fit, it’s kind of fitted and feels a dream on. Priced at £35 this striking top fits true to size, so grab yours quick - I’ve a discount code below for you to take advantage of!

To complete the outfit I picked nude court shoes that have the fashionable kitten heel, an old tan blazer that doesn’t actually match the trousers, but I think they look great together don’t you? Finally a sturdy neutral handbag that’s from Dune in TK Maxx, such a great shop for all kinds of goodies, especially bags!

  5. The swirly top really complements your trousers. That is a very appealing print. I always enjoy going out but that doesn't happen much on a monthly basis. When we go on vacation we usually eat out a few times, during the week, here friends and I are just too busy with kids and activities to be able to match up schedules.
