Hope you are well and getting excited for for the big day!
Things are getting ever busier for Mummab as I’m sure it is for all of you. Present buying is going well and I’m well on the way to being finished. I do need to get some cards bought, written and sent and plan to do that within the next couple of days. I’ve bought wrapping paper so will engage David to help wrapping the presents I have got which will make it things easier - I might have to entice him with a glass or two of Bailey’s!
I’ve finished putting the inside decorations up now and am really pleased with how festive my house looks. Am I the only person who wishes they could stay up all year round? David put the lights on the Hawthron bush relatively easily, there were no dramas and no breakages which is a good sign, let’s hope we can take them off just as well. We had a roast chicken dinner yesterday and although a mad house it as good fun, just wished both my boys (and families) were there too!
I’ve recently shared a very festive colour on Instagram, you may have seen my reel on Instagram , but if not thought you might like to see some interesting ways to incorporate red into your fashion equation. ❤️
Red is proving to be a really trendy shade this season and works so well encapsulating the happy joyous mood Christmas brings. Just think of the traditional festive colours of bright crimson adorning the Christmas tree! Red is such a warm and loving colour and makes me feel really happy when I wear it.
I found the trousers on my favourite website … Vinted! I actually bought two pairs, these that I thought were culottes and another scarlet pair that are lightweight and probably more suitable for summer wear.
When these arrived I tried them on and found they are more of a cropped version than a shorter culotte style. I’m toying with the idea of making them shorter, but thought I’d let you see what they look like and find out your thoughts. Should I make them more suitable for my height and cut them shorter?
Fitting on the waist the pocket’ed trousers are complete winners in my eyes, the flattering pleats falling from the waistband that is cinched in with a matching tie belt.
They’re a bright and fiery red that work nicely with the smouldering dark chocolate brown. It reminds me of fire embers! Is this a colour mix you’d wear?
Here’s a closer look at the silky chocolate shirt. It’s from a favourite store of mine. H & M always have a wide selection of shirts and blouses and I find the price, fit and colour choice brilliant. Silky tops will bring an outfit up a notch or two and always give an elegant and classic feel.
I matched brown boots into the mix and donned these block heel suede beauties to complete my outfit.
I continued the brown theme and added a mock crock patent handbag complete with generous pockets, lock and key and comfortable handles.
Thanks so much for coming to the blog today, I’m so pleased you are here. Hope your Christmas preparations are going to plan, see you here on Thursday.
See you then my friends.
Cheerio for now. X
I love the combo and that top from H&M is a winner too.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever put red with brown, but it's really a wonderful combination. You might pin the trouser legs up to see how they look before really committing to cutting them off. Have a fabulous week!
