Hey there,
How’s your weekend been?
Another fab one for me, and I’ve actually been out out!
On Saturday night I went with friends for dinner and dancing to a band at a local venue run be a publican friend. I went with David and two other couples, who we usually try and get away before Christmas for a cheeky weekend break (last year we went to Baden Baden).
I decided weeks ago to wear some sequined trousers I’d found in Matalan and was rather pleased with the outcome. I teamed the black sparkly trousers with a plain silky top and black jacket also from Matalan!
The trousers are the perfect pair for this time of year, by that I mean the Christmas buildup when over indulging is top of the list, and stretchy waistbands are a must! These are just pull on style, with no buttons or zip fastenings. That’s probably why they were the bargain price of £21! I can wait to wear them again and might even push the boat out and wear them on the big day!
I felt a plain top was the best option for the patterned bottoms and although I saw loads of shiny sparkling shirts, tops and jumpers settled with an old faithful by way of my silky short sleeved V neck top - I’ve got a few of these in different shades so you’ve probably seen one or other of them on here before.
So I mentioned above I may wear these on Christmas Day, but I need some ideas of what else to them with!
Here’s my thoughts so far!
Red jumper.
White shirt.
White Tee shirt.
Pink blouse.
Let me know if you have any other ideas, it’ll have to be something suitable for cooking and relaxing in, so nothing too tight or revealing.
I’ll try and share my #OOTD next week so hop you’ll join me. X
Now Sunday was a very slow day. I felt the effects of the fizz immediately I woke up. I didn’t feel like doing much at all but had committed to drinks at the local pub for a friend’s birthday. I took some paracetamol, ate a burger and drank lots of water and felt much better, so popped down to the Neptune for a couple of hours with David to celebrate with the birthday boy. I’m so pleased I did as I had a fun time chatting with my friend, in a venue that wasn’t too busy and was warm, relaxing and comfortable. I drove us there so had one glass of Prosecco, which went down rather slowly I have to admit .. lol!
Home at a reasonable 5pm to a home cooked roast dinner which was delicious AND I didn’t have to get involved in any of the preparations or cooking … result!
Great to have you here. I appreciate you sparing the time on this busy build up to the 25th!
Have a great week and I’ll join you on Thursday for the Linkup.
Bye,bye for now. X
Love your sparkly pants. So cool!
ReplyDeleteOh, those trousers are fantastic! I've been looking at them, but I suppose it's a bit late in the season for them. Maybe for next year, though? Have a wonderful week, Jacqui! Please join us for Weekend Traffic Jam on Thursday!
