Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your time.
I’ll be in the throes of celebrating with the family, opening presents, cooking & eating dinner and most definitely having a glass of fizz, if you read this on Christmas Day.
You will be familiar with the Style not Age ladies and our monthly challenges, this months fell on the big day so we all agreed we’d go ahead with the challenge so long as all the photos were swapped prior to the weekend. We all managed to do it in time (mine was late Friday afternoon) and what a lovely collection of outfits we have produced.
Our topic was set by Gail who decided upon the title ….
December is for Dressing Up.
I actually love getting dressed up and nearly always get dolled up every day even if I’m only going to Tesco’s - lol! I know lots of people only get dressed up for special occasions like Christmas parties and nights out, but it always makes me happier when I’ve made the effort and that does a lot for one’s state of mind - if you feel happy you can spread happiness around - it’s contagious. Have you ever smiled at a stranger and they smile back? Try it, it works for me!
Dressing up in December has to be the best time to do it don’t you think? With fabric like velvet & satin and sequin covered items surely this must be the best season!
I needed another couple of weeks to get going on this month’s prompt and was literally flicking through my wardrobe and drawers on Friday morning searching for something. I ended up with my recent Vinted purchase (my red trousers) and combed through my daughter’s wardrobe to find a red top! I spotted this delicious satin gold blouse and immediate changed my mind. It’s a silky soft shirt in a stunning shade of shimmering gold complete with gold buttons. I thought it could work, and hey presto it did.
As I previously mentioned Gail - Is this Mutton? Picked the prompt this month so let’s take a look at her stunning outfit.
Our second look comes from Hilda - Over the Hilda and doesn’t she look comfy in her rust coloured co-ord! I’m all over comfort with a twist of elegance for the big day.
Finally Emma captured the essence of Christmas dressing beautifully, another brilliant outfit for December and the 25th. Find out more from Emma on her blog Style Splash.
Good to have you here, I’m so pleased you could spare the time over the festive period. ❤️
See you again on Thursday for the last link up of the year.
Have a great couple of days and enjoy the rest of the holiday.
Bye for now. X
This is such a joyful look, Jacqui! I love how you and your daughters borrow from each other! My daughter and I have completely different taste!
