December Review.

Hello & Happy New Year to you all!
I can’t believe it’s actually 2024 now.
(Apologies for the late posting).

Did you have a fun evening? What did you do to see the old year out and the new year in? Here’s what I got up to.
I was out with friends for dinner and drinks, there was also a band playing resulting in a little mum dancing too!
Today I have all the family for dinner, it’s going to be a tight squeeze and my daughter even suggested having different sittings lol! Roast gammon on the menu with sausages wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes and all the usual veg. David will make a gravy to accompany the meat and I’m sure it’ll be tasty like normal. I made a banoffee pie yesterday and my daughter made a trifle both of which will go down very well.

I’m contemplating doing ‘dry January’ this year, so I’ll let you know how it goes, today will be a test to see if I can go through with it (I’m honestly not an alcoholic, but love a sociable drink).  I’ve been drinking a nonalcoholic drink called Nozecco which is rather nice, so I’ll have to stock up on that for the foreseeable.

So a new Monday, month and year can only mean one thing … the December Review.

At the start of December I was getting myself psyched up for the festive period. I did manage to bag myself a bargain with these faux leather trousers though, well I know I should have been buying Christmas presents, but we all like to buy ourselves a little pre-Christmas gift don’t we!

I’d been sharing a lot of red on Instagram next so decided to share one of my favourites on the blog. The trousers were another bargain from Vinted and although these cropped trousers were a tad longer than I’d wanted & quite thin were a great buy. I’m sure come the warmer months they’ll be winners in my wardrobe.

Like buses come in two’s here’s another red outfit I’ve had fun concocting. I’ve had this short coat for a few years now and every time it comes out it not only makes me really happy but always gets some lovely comments! Pop back to read all about  my outfit and how my month was going.

My next look was based around sparkles by way of my desirable sequin trousers. Anything sparkly and bright is always popular over the festive period so as soon as I found these beauties in Matalan I had to have them, do check back on this post to find out all about my outfit for a night out with friends.

A smart-casual outfit that would be perfect for a lunch date or drinks with the girls followed next. Do have a look and let me know about this once ‘frowned upon’ colour combination, but there’s certainly nothing wrong with wearing green and blue nowadays.

Well, well, well it’s only another red outfit! I was delighted when this look fell into place for the Style not Age challenge. The borrowed shirt and beads certainly bring the whole look together.  Let me know your thoughts my friends.

Final outfit for the year was this previous season H & M dress. I’d wanted this version for a long while and tried to source it in various places, nothing was found so I resigned myself to having missed out! How pleased I was to find my daughter had the actual dress I wanted and nicked it off her. It’s a super stylish dress that now takes pride of place in my wardrobe. X

Thanks for joining me today, I do hope you stick around for 2024 I love having you here.
Enjoy the rest of the day my friends, what are your plans for the weeks ahead? Do share in the comments section.
Until next time have a wonderful week.
Cheerio for now. X

  2. Happy new year. I absolutely love the sparkly trousers, so disco! Back to work for me now, the festivities are a distant memory. I’ve had Nozecco before, it’s quite nice. I don’t think I’m doing dry January this year xx
