Nice to have you stop by today.
I’ve had a lovely week so far with a cuppa and cake catch up with two good friends and a day out shopping with my sister today. We always used to go shopping together, but with big families of our own and the lack of any decent shops in towns nowadays it’s been hard to get together. I’ll let you know if I come home with any purchases!
I do have a casual dress to share with you today though. I popped into my local M & S a couple of Saturday’s ago and came home with this one and a blue floral midi (will share that with you next week). I took my eldest granddaughter with me too and we had a super couple of hours checking out the shops and it was especially nice to browse Boots and Claire’s Accessories (I don’t usually go in them) looking at the beauty products, hair accessories and jewellery, and she came home with a few nice bits too!
I recently found a new love for the column dress. This one is a ribbed in a soft and comfortable fabric that’s the ever popular shade of khaki green. It’s a striped design with cream which is going to be perfect for Spring when a cute little bomber jacket or gilet will work well. I like that it’s got long sleeves too. They too will be a great addition for the changeable weather Spring brings, I’ll be ready and willing when it finally arrives. 🌸
This midi will favour not only long boots and trainers, but I reckon those cute & trending Mary Jane flats will look super with it as well. I went for Long boots and I can’t tell you enough how pleased I was to find these Sosandar beauties on the Secret Sales website for a modest price which was under the £50 mark! Considering they’re on the website for £155 I’d call that an absolute steal!!
I found my lightweight padded jacket looks super over the top, keeping the colour scheme in line and throwing off a casual vibe. I could switch in my chunky trainers to give it a really laid back feel, just spot on for a trip to the supermarket - who else loves a casual trainer in their life?
You may have seen me sporting my red bag with this outfit on Instagram - it really did give it a pop and it’s a nice way to jazz up an outfit by adding a colourful bag or possibly a scarf. By contrast here I’m styling a corresponding shade with my cream bag. I do love a crossbody style and feel they not only look great but are ever so helpful when you want hands free shopping. ❤️

I always love dresses like that and stripes are very cool in my head. I always go to Boots and Claires when I'm in Hastings. Never go there in our own town, lol. In the UK everything is better, lol.
