Styling The Mesh Dress - Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hi there, welcome to the blog today.
How’s life treating you?

Been a fairly busy week for me, although I’ve not actually done much! I had a super evening out on Sunday followed by a week containing a birthday party for a couple of extended family members, watching my grandkids whilst mummy and daddy went to parents evening, lunched with a friend and had dinner with my eldest daughter, so along with a trip into town and my gym classes the week has been quite busy!

I thought Spring was about to arrive with warmer weather and sunny days recently but as expected the nicer days have been replaced with rain and cooler temperatures! Plays havoc with our Spring outfits doesn’t it? - how do you feel about it?
Today I thought I’d share this stunner with you and when the nicer weather arrives I’ll be ready and waiting!

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

The “mesh” dresses seems to be trending at the moment and I’ve spotted this elegant style in loads of shops and online stores, I keep being drawn to it. They really are a promising style to wear and flatter most shapes due to the stretch!  I’ve seen some with ruching up the side which will be good for anyone wishing to hide the tummy area and this one I’m sharing today has an interesting extra piece of swathe of fabric that’s laid from shoulder to the side of my waist area and I think this injection of fabric adds a little extra to the bust section which I love. ❤️

I’ve been delighted to be affiliated with Jenerique and have enjoy wearing and styling many of their garments over the past few months. You can see a few items here, here and here.
Purple isn’t a colour I really wear and although this regal shade is stunning I’m not sure it suits me - what do you think?
The subtle pattern over the Amethyst Aura* is a fun addition and adds just the right amount of interest to the otherwise block colour. It’s giving an easy “in” for the accessories I chose - neutral creams working their magic as only they can!
My dress has a stretchy lining that finishes just below the knee making it a modest midi. I tend to lookout for styles like this as I hate to show too much leg. What’s the shortest you wear?

Here’s more about the cream accents!
I picked my little pouch purse to compliment the cream swirly design, then I picked sling-backs in a corresponding shade too. I omitted jewellery, just wearing my watch and silver bracelet. I tend to drop any neckwear when there’s any kind of pattern on a top or dress, I just don’t like anything too busy in that area.

  3. For everyday life, I might wear a short skort but otherwise my dresses and skirts tend to me just above the knee to midi to maxi. I do have 2 shorter skirts, minis that I wear once or twice a year for a little date night or a blog post. I think one is featured tomorrow.
