Styling Wide Leg Jeans - Chicandstylish #Linkup

How’s it going?

Our weather has slightly improved over the past couple of days and we even had jacket weather along with roof down on the car! The birds were chirping, grass was being cut (isn't there something refreshing about freshly cut grass), bumble bees were bussing around and it really felt like a Spring day. 

I picked the kids up from school yesterday and was elated to wear this season appropriate outfit! This was when I had the roof off in my car and the kids loved it. I also went there for dinner, and it was good to catch up with my daughter, her husband and all the children. Do you ever do the school run? Made me feel so old as two of the teachers taught two of my kids!! 🙈

Who else is embracing the wide leg jeans? What do you think of this darker wash version?

You’ll have seen palazzo trousers are one of my favourite styles to wear and I’ve shared many trousers in this style along with a recent purchase of light wash jeans.  I’ve found them extremely flattering and very comfortable to wear and are definitely the ones I reach for the most. 

I chose this darker shade so I could have a bit of a change and I also opted for the shorter length so I could pair flats and trainers with them. Do checkout the website as M & S have lots of other colours and different lengths. I slipped my Ozweego’s on yesterday and love the trendy look they create, I feel about 30 in these! lol!

As the temperature was higher than in recent weeks I picked my pale cream fitted jumper that looks super with just about any pair of trousers or skirt in my wardrobe. This was from H & M a year or so ago and I’m cross with myself that I didn’t get the other colours! It gives a really nice vibe which is between dressed up and more laidback and feels soft and comfortable on. Do let me know if you’ve seen a pale blue version as I’m after one in that colour. 

I’ve been itching to pop the jacket* on and share it with you. It’s from Bonmarche and having had a couple of their jackets and coats before I wasn’t disappointed with my choice. It’s a light cream faux leather biker jacket and without doubt will be the best jacket for the coming season. It’s going to complement so many outfits as the neutral shade will go with anything. There’s enough room under it for a thin jumper so will be perfect for the change of season when the weather can play jokes on us! 

If you’re after different colours then look no further as Bonmarche also have this soft classic in black, navy and grey. 

My casual outfit was completed with gold jewellery, round tortoise shell sunglasses and my leather pouch bag that I got in Sicily. Do let me know your thoughts on today’s look, I love to have your comments. ❤️
