A Bonmarche dress from David Emanuel.

Good morning my friends.
Hope you’re all well.

I’ve been enjoying the warmer weather of late and it’s really starting to feel like Spring has arrived.
I even went out with bare legs and sandals at the weekend! Yeah I know get me! I finally got the meal booked for my mum’s Christmas present, five of us went to Reads again (see her celebrations here) and enjoyed an amazing meal in the beautiful surroundings. Sadly the whole business is up for sale and I know whoever buys it will probably change things making it very different for what I’m used to! It will definitely be an end of an era! Anyone got a spare 3 mil in their back pocket?

If you follow me on IG you might have seen I was kindly invited to view the new collection from Bonmarche at Fortnum and Mason in London. They had an afternoon tea in the board room showing off the new range from David Emanuel. Today I’m sharing one of their fabulous dresses and what a delight it is!

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

David Emanuel is famous for designing Princess Diana’s wedding dress. It was lovely to meet him, he’s exactly like you see on telly! Anyone else think someone famous will be different irl? 🤣. I had a funny story that I wanted to share with him but thought better of it as it had nothing to do with home really! So I’ll share it with you instead!
When Lady Di got married to Prince Charles - now King Charles, me and my mum and step dad were on holiday in Wales, the accommodation didn’t have a tv so my mum went and bought a portable device just so she could watch the wedding! Who else would do that? I also watched Saturday Night Fever and thought it was very riske! 🫤

Let’s take a minute to muse my pleated dress *
Yes it’s got pleats, no surprise that I picked it eh? It was even nicer that the pictures showed. It’s a midi length and very swishy and floaty so right up my street. I find this classic style suits me and my figure and the colours across this elegant style scream Spring and Summer and is a real beauty.

You know when you put something on for the first time whether it’s going to work, safe to say this one oozes elegance and is effortlessly stylish. It’s has a comfortable neckline which is halter neck style that does up with a tiny button at the back. It just slips over the head & hangs beautifully. It’s a great quality dress and really did make me feel very special when I wore it out - I’ll certainly be donning this one again soon. I’ll probably be packing it for my next holiday when nude heels or flats will be charming.

Sizing is on point too, so pick your normal size for this £35 stunner!

There’s many colour choices you could match here, I opted for gold sandals but I figured nude heels or coral flats would work very well too, as would cerise pink as that’s another shade included in the design.

So what do you think of my floral eye catcher? Be honest let me know your thoughts.
Until Thursday, have a fun week and enjoy any sunshine that might be in the vicinity!
Cheerio for now. X

  2. You look gorgeous, Jacqui! This color suits you so well, and I love the swooshiness of the dress. What fun to meet David Emanuel! I'm not sure I would have been able to not tell him that story!
