Hi everyone.
Hope April is off to a great start.
With last weekend being rather manic I’ve been enjoying the quiet times which has happened in between the seeing the kids and going to the gym amongst other things. I’ve had a couple of afternoons where I’ve managed to collect my thoughts and prepare a couple of collaborations. Has your week gone well?
It’s half term in the UK and it’s been good to have the kids round in the daytime. As you can imagine they’re full of life and make me tired just watching them. I’ve also got two of the grandkids birthdays this weekend. We have a lot of celebrations in April and May and it’s becoming an expensive couple of months! I’m also out on Sunday too. My sister and I are taking mum out for her 90th birthday which was last year. We’re all taking a steam train ride which includes drinks and dinner. I’ve been on the train before which runs between Tenterden and Northiam passing through Bodiam as well. I’ll try to share in more detail next week, including what I wore - I've got something smashing in mind!
Shall we settle down and take a look at today's stunning outfit?
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
I've long been a big fan of Roman clothes, having quite a few dresses & skirts and a number of jumpers in my wardrobe. So when they asked me to pick a couple of pieces from their cracking selection online I literally jumped at the chance.
I'm like a month to a flame when there's anything pink around, so when I saw this stunning mesh dress on the website I knew it would be perfect for me to style. I mean who doesn't love something with pink over it? It certainly didn't disappoint my friends and was just as I expected it to be - the website sure does show everything in true light.
So let me tell you more about my fancy frock. As I've already told you its a mesh fabric that has a clever lining already in place, so no need for a slip (do you wear a slip?) It's sleeveless, giving a look like a fitted vest top, which will be perfect for summer sunshine. I'm not really a big fan of my upper arms - they seemed to have aged in the past couple of years so I might be tempted to get a little shrug to layer on top. Today I've given you two other options, a short lightweight jacket and a long scarf in place of a pashmina. Do tell me which is your favourite choice!
This glamorous asymmetric dress * is covered in my favourite colours. All the pretty shades of pink, blue and mauve fill this dress in a riot of colour - it truly is a blur of beauty.
These are from Lotus Shoes, and they're the softest suede with a fabulously soft lining and insole. The heel height is good, and especially suitable for a wedding when you might have to walk on grass, the heel is a block so no unsightly sinking with these. I reckon they're also going to get top marks for dancing in! You just know when something going to be that comfortable don't you! Head over to Lotus Shoes and check out the other colours this sleek beauty called 'Anita'* come in.
You may want to head over to the website as fast as you can because this stunner has been price dropped so may sell out fast - you have been warned!
Congratulations goes to Gail - Is This Mutton? Who's showing off her date night outfit. That coat is just the perfect addition for Spring and I guarantee she'll get plenty of wear out of it. Hands up who wants a pink coat now?
Thanks for stopping by today, so good to have you here.
I popped my lightweight faux jacket on top. It’s a thin fabric that has a nice sheen to it, making this boxy classic an effective cover up without looking too heavy. I fancy I might switch to a denim jacket for a more casual look. What other styles would you pick?

This is a very pretty dress, Jacqui. Love the shape and the colour palette. I think it looks better with the scar, its softness matches the fabric of the dress nicely. You look lovely in it. Anna
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous dress! And the blazer and pink shoes look divine on it. Is that steam train starting from Tenterden? Would be lovely to do some day.

ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the feature! I was so chuffed x
ReplyDeleteFeb dress Jacqui, but have to say I would put a navy jacket with it. Or is that too matchy-matchy these days! Anyway, just imagine that dress at a smart occasion, a wedding or the races; gorgeous!
