Navy & Tan.

Hi there,
How are you?

Another busy weekend that’s flown by!
With two family birthdays and a day out yesterday it’s been a whirlwind. Anyone else having hectic weekends?

Do you remember where I said I was going yesterday? I’ll be sharing a post all about the steam train on Thursday so hope you’ll pop back to read about it.

Today I thought I’d share another shopped from my wardrobe outfit which features a classic colour combination that is a favourite of mine.

Navy and tan - what’s not to love!

There’s so many catchy colour combos aren’t there. Grey and yellow, black and white (okay they’re not colours), pink and green and today’s classic tan and navy.
With both colours being neutral they sure do make an awesome coupling and this classic mix just works so well.
Start thinking blue jeans with tan boots, or camel coats over skinny jeans with Ugg boots and you’ve got a winning combination.

So my look is quite basic but looks amazing. I started with my favourite wide leg trousers worn over some heeled ankle boots (I’m still looking for a pair with block heels and pointed toes), I grabbed a navy ribbed jumper and spotted my Ted Baker cropped jacket that although it’s quite old is still very much wearable and dare I say trendy.

Keeping everything together I’ve added a little tan bag which is a shiny patent. It’s blending in beautifully bringing a harmonious look to my nicely balanced ensemble. Sometimes you just want an outfit to mearge together with nothing standing out. Do you wear your clothes so that they blend?

I love all the extra little details over my navy jacket. It’s got cute little bows on the sleeve and is made from a waffle style fabric which is quite thick and also fully lined. I’m also smitten with the unusual rose gold hardware which includes zips on the pockets and down the front fastening. Again showing it’s an older version but I reckon so long as the rest of the metals you wear conform - the rules won’t be broken!

Do let me know if you’d wear this outfit and whether you like my classic design.
Until then …
Bye for now. X

  3. Gorgeous! Blue looks so beautiful on you! I love this colour combo, even if it's quite simple/basic, I love how classy and elegant it does look. You really nailed it because it looks so amazing and I'll keep this color combo in mind for reference/inspo in the future, and to answer your question, I would absolutely and without any doubt or thinking twice, wear this outfit! :)
    Have a beautiful day!
