Styling a Statement Tee Shirt from Chapter London

Morning my friends.
How was your weekend?

We’ve had glorious weather here and it’s been wonderful to wear lighter, summery clothes.
I actually spent time in the garden with the grandkids which was lovely. Do tell me why they like playing with water and more specifically the bird bath water! Urgh!
As David was working on my daughter’s house ( he’s roof tiling now) I cooked a roast beef dinner, with all the trimmings I might add! David normally takes the reins for our Sunday roast and I’m sous chef, so to Cook it all was quite a feat now! lol!

This week I’ve another couple of birthdays, starting with mine on Wednesday. It’s my 60th and I’m not really ready to join the 60 club, but as many people say I’m fortunate to get to this age and don’t fancy the alternative either! 😱 I’m having a gathering of family and friends next Saturday which should be fun and I’m praying the nice weather hangs around and we can congregate in the garden.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

I love an edgy street style and although I prefer lady like dressing often change it up and don something alternative like this look.
I’ve had this slip skirt for a while, after seeing so many styling them in different ways I soon joined the club and bought this one in black and another cream version both from Shein and both very useful.

These slinky satin skirts are quite a worthwhile addition to your wardrobe as they can be dressed up or down. I’ve also worn this one with heels and boots for an alternative to this casual look.

A graphic or patterned tee shirt worn over a more elegant bottom half really does switch the feel up. The starburst *
Tee shirt I received from Chapter London is a fun little top that has a few sparkly stars across the shoulder area. It’s subtle enough to wear with my satin skirt but still looks edgy. 🖤

Anyone else in love with the faux leather jacket?
I’ve been enjoying this one for years. It’s topped off many a fancy outfit from evening wear to popping to the shops jeans. Rest assured if you invest in a pvc version you’ll not be disappointed. I’ve recently added the this cream one to my collection and like the black, have worn it plenty of times, too many to count on one hand!✨

Now how else to make your outfit standout? Well obviously trainers need to be included and a bold handbag. I wore my Osweegos but really and truly any kind of trainer will do. I’m eyeing some adidas Samba’s next, any other suggestions of stylish trainer greatly appreciated!
A bright pink bag works just that bit harder than plain black, and doesn’t it standout nicely. Give it a try you’ll thank me for the lovely comments you’ll get for punctuating an outfit like this! 💕

Thanks very much for stopping by today. Do join me on Thursday for the linkup party.
Until then bye, bye my friends. X

  3. Oh, I love the bag! I don't have any bright bags right now, but this makes me want one! I decided I did not like satin skirts for myself but I always rethink my opinion when someone styles one: your outfit is perfect. I love how you styled the skirt in a casual manner and the "leather" jacket is a great topper. Great street style! Enjoy your birthday celebration! Today is my mom's birthday and yesterday was my sister in law's.
