Sun Dress from Oasis - Chic & Stylish Linkup

Hello nice to see you here.
Hope you're week is going well.

The hot & sunny weather has finally arrived - yippee.  It’s been absolutely glorious here over the past few days and I’ve been loving being in the garden pottering around. Well not pottering as such, I started with the grass, next I strimmed the edges, trimmed some of the hedges, weeded (my daughter did most of it) sorted some pots and generally tidied up the garden. All the time I had the sun on my back and managed to get a bit more colour, shame I’ve still got lines on the front from my recent holiday to Mallorca! Time to sit in the garden and do nothing I think.
Isn’t it nice to shower after a long day working in the sun. I think that’s the best feeling to get all the dust and dirt off and relax in something cool and comfortable. Well today's outfit is just that.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

You all know I’m a huge fan of wearing dresses, and last year I’d been searching on Vinted for some summer styles. I wanted something suitable for hotter days, so when I scrolled down and found this Oasis dress I clicked save immediately, as I often do I offered a cheaper price than was advertised and managed to bag a bargain - I think it was a cheeky £4, but don’t judge me! Who doesn’t love a discount?

I love a large print which is probably why I was drawn to this midi dress. It’s my favourite colour … pink and has a mixture of colours, flowers and patterns all over it making it a real statement dress. It’s got little spaghetti straps that I had to do a little alteration on. They were too long and needed making shorter. I literally chopped them off and sewed them shorter. Worked a treat and now I can wear this beauty without showing my bits off! lol!

You can
see it’s got a deep tiered frill on the hem and the extra fabric gives a good floaty swish, another big tick from me!

Flat and comfy sandals had to be added, I’m all for footwear that’s dreamy to wear - these mule sliders, called Linari * , are an appealing mock-croc design which is Rose gold. The shade complimented the dress perfectly. They have a chunky sole which is amazing to walk on and really is like walking on air. If you’re wanting a different shade they’re available in a cool silver - head over to checkout your favourite.

I’m always on the lookout for new sunglasses. They are definitely part of any outfit I wear and I’ve got quite a few to choose from. I was pleased to receive these from Goodlookers UK. I’ve always been drawn to darker framers or tortoiseshell styles but felt a change was needed. When they asked me to pick out a few I immediately looked at different colours and frames, hence this lighter shade called ‘Mia*’ arrived and I’m pleased to say I love them! Head over to the website to find more unusual styles - they sell reading glasses, reading sunglasses and I’m waiting for the make-up pair to arrive, I’ll share them on here too!

  4. I have a pair of sunglasses (my emergency pair in the car) that is very similar to yours. I like to have different styles so my 4 pairs are very different from each other. I love the simplicity and ease of a summer dress. This one looks perfect for a hot day.
