What to wear in this changeable weather - Chic & Stylish #Linkup

Good morning my friends.
How’s it going in your neck of the woods?

Gym classes are going well, I’m on my second week of Fight Club and I have to admit to it being harder than the first one! I felt exhausted on Wednesday evening and could have gone to bed really early. No ballet today so I’m off to the garden centre for a wander around with my mum and a spot of lunch!  I’ll probably try to get some bedding plants for a couple of pots that need filling so it’ll be nice to see what they have on offer!

With very much changeable weather in the UK it’s been hard to know what to wear! I’ve started off each day either with something warm on or cooler clothes, it’s been a real conundrum!
I bought these red palazzo trousers on Vinted a while back. I love to have a look through to see what’s for sale, and there’s always so much choice. Trouble is you never know if it’s the right material, size or fit and that’s the main reason I prefer real life buying rather than shopping online! I’m all for touching and seeing before I buy!

Lightweight trousers are a real winner in these conditions when it’s not hot or cold and it’s good to be able to add layers a bit like season changes eh!

So let’s have a little run around this look. You know it came about because of the funny weather we’ve been having when cooler trousers and sleeveless tops have been my go to pick. The bright red trousers have been a lovely addition as they are so easy to dress with heels or down with chunky flats like I’ve worn here. They have a comfy elasticated waistband that gathers up nicely for a relaxed look AND they have pockets. We all love anything with pockets don’t we!

Crochet pieces are hot this season and I’ve been after a midi dress. All of them I tried didn’t look right, most were a bit snug and clung in the wrong places, so I settled on this cute little sleeveless top (similar) from good old F & F!
There’s something quite sophisticated about these fine fabrics and I feel they always come up trumps don’t they.
It’s got a v neck details on both front and back and although they’re kind of see-through still look good.

As I mentioned above, jackets have come into there own this Summer haven’t they. We never know when we’ll be reaching for another layer so teaming the right item is key. I picked this one up in the Matalan sale and had been hankering after it since seeing it back in January. You can read all about how I bought it back on this post.
I love everything about this little cropped jacket (similar) from the colour to the patch pockets and the fact it goes with so much, pleased how well it sits with my trousers and top!

This style of trouser works well dressed up or down and here I took advantage of wearing them with my chunky flat sandals that have a sturdy sole. This is perfect for daytime wear when running around and working in the house needs this type of shoe. I’ll be wearing heels with them soon and know they’ll look just as nice.

I like the tones and textures of today’s outfit and felt keeping the neutral theme going with my padded bag was a good idea. For me something neutral like my cream bag blends nicely into the background letting the rest of the outfit do the talking! Now if I’d gone for something leopard print that would be a whole new story wouldn’t it - you’ll have only seen the bold animal print then  wouldn’t you.

  1. I know, the weather is similar here. Such a dreadful summer. I almost only buy from Vinted from brands I know. So that I'm sure it will fit good. The red trousers are very pretty!

  4. I love my wide leg trousers in the summer. I did find a skirt and sweater crochet ensemble earlier this year and I have been wearing the skirt this summer. It is a little difficult like you said though to find pieces that flow nicely and don't hug in the wrong places. Hope you find the dress you are searching for.

  6. I really like the combination of neutrals with the bright red trousers which are all kinds of fun! Your summer is more like our very short-lived spring...warm, then cold, and always wet. Thanks for the link up!
