Morning everyone.
Hope your weekend went well and the new week is off to a good start. Sorry for the late post, the weekend seemed to just run away from me!
I’ve been doing some building work on Saturday and Sunday (well sort of building work). I’ve been helping David and my son-in-law with plaster-boarding (fetching and carrying really) and generally tidying up getting ready for the plaster’s to be able to start work. My daughter and her son and hubby are still living with me and we’re all working hard to get them fully installed before their new baby arrives in November!
I’m still working on the blog post for my weekend in Porto so will get that ready as soon as possible.
This isn’t something I’d normally go for, but the soft chunky knit, that has a crochet looking details, caught my eye.
Until then let’s take a look at this classic outfit featuring my new A line skirt and this dreamy jumper.
Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.
I was lucky enough to be gifted a couple of bits from
Damart. It's not a store I've shopped at before and it's been good to see what they had on offer. The new season items are flooding in now and it’s been nice to checkout what colours and styles are ‘in’.
I spotted this
cosy jumper that has balloon sleeves and is a trendy mixture of muted shades that will look right at home with a myriad of colours not forgetting the neutrals like I've worn here.
This isn’t something I’d normally go for, but the soft chunky knit, that has a crochet looking details, caught my eye. It’s a really feminine top and I knew it would pair nicely with my new A line skirt. How right I was, don’t they look fabulous together! I like the soft pastel shades and reckon it’ll look cool with jeans layered over a tee shirt or even a roll neck when it’s mid winter and cold. It’s a very reasonably priced knitted jumper costing under £40 & size is true so feel confident in buying your normal size.
I have to say that along with this cute jumper I absolutely
love this skirt. As you know I don't wear skirts that often and it takes a lot for me to add one to my wardrobe. I was in Canterbury M & S a while ago just having a browse (see my
recent reel) and tried said skirt on. I felt so good in it and just had to buy it, I didn't end up committing to it until I got home so bought it online and delivered to my local food-hall. I have so many ideas for this stunner and can't wait to share it again with you. Obviously because it's neutral there's so many other colours and tones I will wear it with, so stay tuned for more of this beauty!
I pulled out my pink tote bag to compliment one of the stripes, it makes everything stand out and be noticed against the cream background of my skirt and I kept the whole of the bottom half the same colour making it more streamlined. I bought my boots from
Secret Sales and they are from Sosandar. They had quite a high heel and are make of the softest leather - I've worn them a few times, but mainly when I'm not doing too much walking - they definitely are 'car to bar' boots. 😊 You can read all about my delicious piece of arm candy, that's from
Teddy Blake here!
Thanks very much for joining me today, it’s been good to have you here.
I’ll see you on Thursday for the new linkup.
Until then see ya!
