Styling a vibrant jumpsuit - Chicandstylish Linkup

Good morning everyone.
Thanks for joining me today.

Apologies for no post on Monday, in my head I'd planned a post, but in reality it didn't materialise!
I've been away for a long weekend break to Porto in Portugal.  It was amazing and very much needed by both hubby and myself! You might recall it was a birthday present for the children, they all clubbed together for a joint 60th present and our trip away was the result.  They had planned to send us to Savoca in Sicily, but you can read all about that story here

Well I’m working on a post telling you all about Porto which will follow next week. Until then let me show you this vibrant jumpsuit that I was kindly gifted from Jenerique.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments.

The question I’m asking today is do you wear jumpsuits? I’m a big fan of them and have always got a few in my wardrobe at one time. They’re rather like wearing dresses, you don’t have to worry too much about what to pair with them and the hardest job is picking out what jewellery & accessories to match with said all-in-one!

As you know I adore wearing one pieces, they are just so easy to wear and versatile plus there are all kinds of styles, lengths & fabrics to choose from making them extremely adaptable for so many occasions. Thin, floral fabrics that are sleeveless and mini length are perfect for holidays whereas thicker denims with long sleeves and maybe wide leg trousers will be spot on for colder climbs!  I’ve sported velvet styles with spaghetti straps, dressy all-in-ones & summery culotte styles that scream summer holidays (like this one), and I’m not ready to give these beauties up not even for the possibility of bathroom difficulties!
Fortunately for me this bold design play suit is made from stretchy material that I managed to get in and out of without having to undo the zipper! The double button at the back of the neck was easy to do myself so wasn’t an issue for me! I get that they can be a pain and need the extra helping hand sometimes, but this one made the job easy peasy!! 😄

Let me talk you around this outfit. As I mentioned above the fabric is stretchy, and doesn’t really crease at all, thus making it just the right piece to pack for a holiday. I literally wrapped this one up and pushed it into my case and it came out perfectly. It’s got slinky wide legs which means it’s a joy to wear with heels and flats alike! You can see I picked flats which were the better option for the undulating terrain over Porto - it’s VERY hilly and I’d urge you to wear flats or trainers if you venture to this stunning destination. My cream sliders *, which have chunky jewels across the front, were a dream - I wore them every evening even with my dresses and they not only looked great but felt safe and comfy too! These too were gratefully gifted by Lotus Shoes and you can find these stylish sliders are still available online.

The sleeves are slightly capped and although I prefer to have my arms covered worked really well and with the slightly padded shoulder pad kept the silhouette nicely angular and in balance. The middle cumberband also helps keep the structure in line. As I mentioned earlier it’s got a small zipper that I honestly didn’t need most of the time, and the two little buttons, that had elastic fasteners on the neck, were fairly easy to use.

The bold splodgy pattern caught my eye first and I did the whole is-it-too-bold-for-me convo in my head and settled for the definitive answer of no - if I can get away with it you surely can.
Come view all the sizes and priceof this green, mauve and golden jumpsuit which I have to add has been reduced, so a bargain can be had for sure. 💚💜💛

I kept my handbag neutral so you could get the full glory of my jumpsuit but plan to add my green heels and bag or maybe my gold boots and cream jacket into the mix next time, what do you think?

  5. Such beautiful color in this outfit! No, I don't wear jumpsuits. I've tried them, but I really don't like the "bathroom issue".
