Hi everyone.
How’s it going?
A couple of birthdays this week. It was my mum’s on Monday so I invited her for dinner and we had a family favourite of spicy prawns with a glass of champagne to wash it down. My daughter made her a cake and she had some lovely cards, gifts and a couple of bottles of wine. I know she had a brilliant time and it was lovely to spend it with her.
On Wednesday it was Emily’s birthday. All the family came round and the easiest dinner to prepare quickly was hotdogs and chips which went down really well. Her due date is getting nearer and we’re all very excited to meet our newest addition to the family.
Popped into a couple of shops to get some birthday presents on Tuesday and managed to bag a rather nice pair of trousers. I’ve been after some Leo print jeans but spotted these lightweight wide leg casual trousers for a sale price of £12. Wore them the next day with my chunky trainers, black jumper and statement chunky chain necklace. Will share a piccy soon as it was dark when I got a chance to take photos. So until then, I’ll share this look which I ‘copied’ for a fellow Instagram.
I spotted a friend on IG wearing a very similar outfit but in black. I knew I’d got a full skirt albeit faux leather and I haven’t had a chance to wear it for a while so I grabbed it on Tuesday and popped a matching knitted jumper over the top. It actually looks great colour wise as it’s an exact match. My friend had a tight floral necklace so I picked my gold ball necklace that’s a firm favourite of mine. It’s a nice statement piece and has finished off all sorts of outfits for me.
I bought my skirt from Vinted, I love buying & selling from them and have got loads of picks on my ‘favourites’ section.
It’s a voluminous style that’s got a half elastic waistband which can be pulled on. I was worried it wouldn’t suit me and might make me look bigger, but I can honestly say I’m smitten with it and the fact that it look’s so good makes me want to add more to my skirt collection.
I wasn’t sure on footwear and tried on both my tan 3/4 suede boots and these mock suede that are a nude mink colour - they looked the best so that’s what I wore and I’m pleased to say they are really comfortable and look perfect
I added my tan bag to tie everything together, the leather bag is very much trending this season and I’m pleased to say this one is fabulous. It’s roomy enough to fit all my necessities in and has shorter handles as well as a longer crossbody strap that’s fully detachable. You can find more details about it here on this post.

My brother's birthday is today on Halloween day, you know he gets a lot of ribbing for that! Love this neutral outfit-I am always a fan of a long twirly skirt!
